Noted! some great ideas there :)

My breakfast this morning was an omelette made with two eggs, skim milk and 50gms of low fat ham, really filling and carb free!

I have a pouch due to a botched appendix removal when I was 13. I also have a terrible scar and a lot of nerve and muscle damage which means I have constant lower back problems and can't do most ab exercises as the signal from my brain simply doesn't get to my abs due to the nerve damage. So I took up belly dancing and got…

I have a ton of recipes and cook books some of them healthy  I'm cooking some new stuff this weekend as I want to re-set my diet and lose 5lbs in March

Well now that I know what NSV is.... I've lost a few centimetres off my waist and hips and even though my new gym program is killing me I'm sticking with and getting results.
-
I take the coconut oil a couple of times a week and I use when I cook stir fries, it's adds a lovely flavour to Asian cooking. I've never tried ACV but if it revs up your metabolism I'm interested, lol!
-
er, what's NSV???
-
I went grocery shopping today and found myself buying the same boring stuff, why am I struggling so much with this????

I had some rice cakes with ham, tomato and low fat cheese. I wasn't very hungry and I'd been at the beach for a couple of hours as we're having a heat wave here. I'm really stuck in a rut with my dinners lately, they usually consist of a green salad with either grilled chicken or beef which I'm heartily sick of. I try to…

Depends on whether I'm at work or home. At work I tend to eat a snack mid morning and then mid afternoon, at home it's really random. Today it was so hot here (94F) I got through about 6 popsicles, normally though I eat carb laden snacks and that has to stop. Tonight's snack was raw carrot sticks, yum!

I really need this as my diet is just BS at the moment!
-
Thanks for the ideas ladies. I live by myself and I find cooking for one to be difficult, also I can't really afford to buy a huge variety of food so I tend to get stuck eating the same thing until it's gone. Time to make a change :)
-
I really need to get a heart rate monitor!
-
Are you eating a lot of processed foods and carbs? I find the weight starts to drop off me if I reduce the carbs and eat more fresh foods.
-
I'm in! not losing as fast as I'd like right now so I need a challenge :)
-
I couldn't believe how much more energy I had when I stopped eating a lot of sugar, it really drains you and it's very ageing. No one needs that!

I drink lemon water ever morning, I just pop a slice in my water bottle and squeeze some of the juice in as well. It's very cleansing and detoxing plus I'm getting a hit of vitamin C and some hydration straight up. in winter I make it a hot lemon drink and sometimes I put a bit honey in as well :) Highly recommended. You…

 to everyone!

I haven't had any sweating and I hope I don't get that, it sounds terrible! :noway: The hot flushes are demonic though, I'm hoping I don't go through years of it, not sure how I'd cope with that. You never hear about this stuff ever! my mum went through a horrible time and never spoke about it and of course it doesn't…

That's great that your grandkids keep you moving Riley, my nieces always keep me on my toes when I'm around them so I'll make an effort to see them more often now  My current mantra is: steps by Losin it2012, on Flickr

Mine is a green smoothie made with: 1 cup of mixed frozen berries 1 scoop of protein powder (I use Sunwarrior plain) 1 tablespoon of spirulina or ultimate greens powder or 2 handfuls of fresh spinach 2 cups of water half a fresh avocado (optional) 1 tablespoon of chia seeds if you like your smoothies a bit sweeter add half…

I love chia and add them to my smoothies, oatmeal etc. for the health benefits they give. The full feeling they give you is a nice side effect, makes my smoothies very filling and satisfying. :drinker:

I have also made a pact with myself that I will not bring any junk food into the house. This was hard initially as every time I went shopping on the weekend I would always buy chips and chocolate, eat the lot and undo all my hard work for the week. I also made a vision board for myself with my weight loss goals and some…

Some other things that motivate me are: Being my own best friend - no one will ever be as cruel to you as you are to yourself. I would never talk to a friend the way I talk to myself so I made a decision to stop beating my self up with negative self talk and start thinking more positively which has really helped. I also…

I try not to, I usually save mine for a night out but as I've had a lot of social events this week so I'm not expecting to lose much weight. As long as I don't gain I'll be satisfied. This morning when I came into the office we all had boxes of chocolate truffles on our desks which was very nice of our boss but I have…

it's hockey night in Melbourne so I'll be eating at a pub! better choose the grilled chicken & salad option
