I got a Sportsline...it doesn't keep a record of the calories burnt (maybe like 1 day) but it tells you your HR, calories burnt, max HR and how long you were above your target HR and all that stuff. I think I spent $60 something on it. I loved my polar HRM but my kids lost the watch. I was mad!

I may step on the scale often but I only officially weigh in once a week (next weeks is my last at the gym). I might get curious a few days early and step on the scale, but I don't log it until my weigh in day.

Going to have to try it as a snack before bed. I love PB and celery!
-
Mine almost always says that too. Just listen to your body. If you are starving at night before bed then I'd eat more during the day...if your not then I'd say you are good doing what your doing. Your body will let you know.

Sounds yummy!

Here's a link to her blog (not facebook) that has all the details...http://www.walkathome.com/blog/leslie-sansone/announcing-the-21-days-before-thanksgiving-walk-challenge/

You look amazing!! Good job! Keep up the good work!!!

Some things you can do the night before. I read something about and omelet that you put the egg mixture in a ziplock bag then in the am you can add your veggies and toss it in a pot of boiling water...that way you can keep getting ready and your food is cooking at the same time. Let me see if I can dig anything up. This is…

Keep up the good work!!

Same here. Meat and potatoes kinda gal here. Couldn't quit eating meat, even if I were paid.

Don't feel bad at all. I'm 5'3 and when I started I was 170 pounds and obese. You couldn't tell I didn't even look like I weighed that much. I have finally broken out of the obese category by only losing 10 pounds (well, if I actually was supposed to weigh in today it'd be 10 pounds).

Keep doing what your doing and listen to your body. If you are starving at the end of the day, it wouldn't hurt to eat a few of the exercise cals. Your body needs time to adjust to what your doing. You will see the results soon!

It's been proven that if you are thinking about burning calories while cleaning house and doing your "daily activities" you lose more weight. I don't remember the article I read about it but they did a study and so forth. Half were told that doing the daily cleaning and whatever was burning calories and those that were…

Start weight is 161 (weighed myself this morning and forgot to post it) Goal 131 by Christmas (would be great if I got to 125)
-
I'm in too! I will weigh myself tomorrow morning and post it. That would be awesome because I'd probably be like 5 pounds away from my goal weight if I did lose 30 pounds by Christmas! Plus hubby is coming home on R&R right after that :) AWESOME!!!! *Feel free to add me too*

I have had mine 2 years and have not gained any weight. Stayed the same as when I got it put in (maybe you know a pound or 2 nothing major though) and for those 2 years I didn't exercise or anything...

Your body will fluctuate from day to day. That is why I only weigh in once a week, same time (roughly) same day of the week.
-
The sandwich wrap with the lettuce instead of an actual wrap is a really good idea!
-
Yes your weight can fluctuate 3-5 pounds (i think have heard different numbers on this one) a day. That's why they say to do it once a week...same day and same time.

Turbo Jam is fun! I also do JM's 30 day shred (when I want a change). We have p90x and it's really intense. I can't do that one and I'm kind of upset (lots of pushups and I have a bad wrist). I would say go check out Walmart. They have $10 cardio DVD's. I like the dancey type dvd's myself :)
-
You look amazing! Great job!! I love the TurboJam (although I don't do it the way they set it up...should probably start).
-
I agree check the C25K out. I tried it once, but was sick when I ran and it felt worse than dying. I'm hoping to get over my cold (nasty chesty cough) and try the whole program. I'm not a runner at all. Good luck!
-
You don't have to do any workout like they say. I don't do my TurboJam like they say you should. Do it when you can. They put together the best order and everything, so the days you do the workout I'd still go in the order they have set. You will still see results.

Well IF you share it you'd only get 416 calories eating 1 slice (if that's what you call it). So it's not that much different than eating a whopper or anything else. Plenty of places have "pizza" sandwiches. Subway use to have a pizza sub...what's the difference?
-
I have p90x and when I started it I could only do 2-3 pushups...and when I quit doing it (bad wrist) I was doing 10-15 of certain types of pushups. It's a very good workout. Hubby was losing weight fast, I was gaining muscle...(not bulky muscle because I did the lower weights with more reps). I would recommend it.
-
I have heard nothing but good reviews from people who have tried it. I'm looking forward to getting it. It's my reward for getting to 150 pounds. Going to work hard to get it :)

Turbo Jam is fun!(My fave) I like the dance type dvd's. Zumba looks like a TON of fun! (will probably be my fave once I get it) I have the Strip tease set and to me...it's not that great (but I took dance lessons for years, and it is way to simple for me.). Crunch has a few dance dvd's I have the fat blast or somthing like…

I know it had more than 600 calories, I debated on getting one of those, but decided to go with the meal I got. Every other place I have ever ate has the nutrition values online. Frustrating.
-
Welcome!! I love this site! I have lost 8.3 pounds and 3.5 inches total (hips and waist) since I started 6 weeks ago. :) Good luck on your weight loss journey!
-
I try not to pay attention to the scale too (although it is frustrating to see the number go up)...but, YOU LOST 1.5 INCHES!! That means something good is happening. Even though the scale went up your size went down!!! Keep pushing through and you will start to see the scale go DOWN! :)
