  • I would recommend starting building strength doing body weight exercises (before adding on any weights). For example, squats and lunges will do wonders to your big muscles, such as gluts, hamstrings and quads; push-ups are great for your arms and chest (start on your knees, or if that's too much, pushing against the wall…
  • Woke up so sore from yesterday's workout, that I was tempted to call it a cheeky rest day. But then I told myself I should try to exercise the soreness away, so I got my Combat and Rockin' Body in. Speaking of which, zomg, Shaun T is pretty hilarious (and different from his Insanity self) on these videos. The routine I did…
  • Ohhh, the new bikini is so pretty! You look amazing :flowerforyou:
  • Great progress so far. Keep it up
  • July 16th - 760 (Combat + Rockin' Body) July 17th - 590 (CLX and Combat) Slowly catching up a bit  But my body has been sore on all sorts of places at the end of the day, because I've upped some of my weights a bit (still weaksauce though, haha). Patience, patience... :blushing:
  • Amazing! Rockin' that bikini
  • I would recommend doing 6 days a week. Just remember there's nothing wrong with hitting pause (though the real challenge is not to  ), and bear in mind Thursdays are "recovery" days. I came across a lot of Insanity veterans who dissed the Thursday routine and did other, more involved exercise instead, but I welcomed…
  • That is awesome! Keep it up  Shadowboxing is so much fun.
  • Wonderful progress so far. Well done!
  • LM Combat does have two 30 minute strength training workouts (Hiit: Power & Upper Body), though I believe they are only available on the upgraded package as opposed to the basic one. They both include a bunch of weighted squats, clean presses and power presses. I use 15lb dumbbells at the moment, and they leave me…
  • Ohhhh, this is interesting! Thanks for posting. I sometimes use dryer machine balls on my feet (I have flat feet, so rolling on them feels really nice after high impact workouts), so I had thought of getting a foam roller to try to achieve the same on my back and hammies. I will look into buying one now :)
  • That is unbelievable! Honestly, it's crazy amazing. Well done :) I had an indulgent night last night, of steak and wine as well :) So I ended up taking today off from exercise. I'm still behind on my calories, but definitely plan on doing some catch up on week 3! My total for the month is 5334 so far.
  • *claps vigorously* You look incredible!
  • It varies from person to person, but I should think you will loose proportionally as you reduce your body fat percentage. I personally have fairly large breasts as well, and, whilst I've lost some weight this year and some fat around my back, my cup size has changed only slightly. At my lightest (minus 30lbs from where I'm…
  • Thanks, Zanne. I woke up feeling a bit better, though it didn't help that hubby kept on talking about horrific stories of hernias and appendicitis last night! I decided to work out a bit today anyway, to work through the soreness, or beating my body into submission, rather :) Sounds like you had a bit of a crazy start to…
  • July 11th - 446 (Combat Hiit shock Plyo & inner warrior + Rockin' Body mark and move). RB workout was fun; excited to try out their other workouts in the coming days. However, I have a very strange sharp pain below my belly, where hernias go... I hope that I haven't hurt myself and that's just muscle soreness. If I have a…
  • Amazing stuff. You've done so well! And you look hot!
  • I personally would be either 1. grumpy or 2. not energetic enough to exercise. But if you can go about your day without any such incident, than I'd say there's nothing wrong with it, other than 1000-1500cals sounds rather low for a man. Hey, maybe you should throw in dessert or a treat before bed  My husband does…
  • "Muscle is the fountain of youth" This is amazing!!! You look great
  • @ amshumaker88: hope your foot recovers soon! I got my Combat 60 in today, though I did the live one instead of the regular one according to the schedule. I like the live one soooo much, even if it's a couple of minutes shorter. Especially the MC Hammer song, and the Muay Thai track!!
  • Here's my progress so far this week: July 8th - 444 (Combat cardio fighter) July 9th - 387 (Combat Hiit power & inner warrior) July 10th - 646 (Combat live, yoga meltdown) Just got my new Rocking Body workout on the mail today. Not sure if I'm going to follow the programme exactly, or just use it as a 'top up". Never tried…
  • You look so beautiful and happy  Thanks for posting your story; it's inspirational!
  • Thanks for posting this  You look great!
  • Amazing! You look great
  • I finished the week with 2563 calories burnt. Not too shabby, but I hope I'll do better on week 2!
  • Oh, going back to school sounds like fun! Good luck with that. I was thinking of doing the T25 mid July as well, because that's when I will be finished with my first round of Combat. Let me know closer to the date, maybe we could to it together! Yay, the more, the merrier! 20k calories sounds awesome to me. You must have…
  • Congrats on finishing the programme! -- I got my Shock plyo and inner warrior in for the day, and also threw in the 30 workout in case I want to have dinner out
  • But your week already looks pretty insane in the calories burnt  Hope your foot gets better soon! I hear T25 is intense. I must admit I like the idea of a 25 min workout though. I'm quite liking Combat because of I'm spending 60 min max, although some days I do wonder if I shouldn't throw "something extra" to it…
  • I had a little bit of wine after lunch today, and really thought of resting today and doubling up tomorrow, but I squeezed my Combat 30 and core attack in the evening in the end. Yay! Now I can go eat more  My hubby says I look really happy doing Combat, and I blurted out with my tongue out "it's become a hobby…
  • I don't drink a lot of coffee anymore (mostly black tea these days), but when I do, I have a single or double espresso with 1 tsp brown sugar, or plain iced coffee.
