Well this is certainly not true for everyone. I got to a point where I didn't care if I reached my initial weight loss goal, at around 45 pounds lost. I actually lost my last 4 pounds in 4 weeks while experimenting with "maintenance" calories of net 2100 per day. There is no reason to deprive yourself. Food is fuel.

Obviously fried foods are not as healthy. If you open up your diary so people can see you could get more help because people could take a real look at what you are eating. It's normal to drop weight fast in the beginning because you were overeating before. A lot of it is water retention.

You could google about vitamin over-consumption but I think you just pee out the extra vitamins. And the fiber...errr...well that comes out too. It's a great way to keep things moving along if you remember to drink plenty of water.

My Dad (RIP) missed out on a really fun dinner one Christmas Eve because my Mom refused to make his plate for him. Maybe a bad time to take a stand? Maybe good? I don't go to many family functions now but if I visit my Mom's, I can expect to see my step-dad's ex wife at the table.

I think the number you mention is great for weight loss and very low for maintenance

The exact thing happened to me. I switched it up and got sore again! For some reason I don't feel as if I got a good workout in if there is absolutely no soreness.
