  • Congratulations, you must be so happy! :)
  • You lost a little over 3 pounds per week. That is a 1500 calorie per day deficit. If you added 1000 back in and ate 2100, it would be a lot safer than what you are currently doing. If you aren't comfortable with that, try anything between 1100 to 2100. With the exception of (possibly) morbidly obese, it is not recommended…
  • I want to use them, don't know much about it. I like the idea of less waste from the diapers themselves and the associated cost. Plastic can't be comfy. Will read through the thread to learn more...

  • It took me 3-4 months to see significant body changes from lifting. You really have to stick with it and you will be glad you did.

  • I forgot to say that I already had to modify my lifting and stop using any of the machines that press against my chest because it hurt my boobs so much! That is so cool about the swimming, I wish I was already a swimmer, I may take a few relaxing dips sometime soon. I would probably take it easy because I am not a swimmer…
  • I plan to continue my pre pregnancy exercises as long as I can and it's okay with my doctor. Weightlifting plus softball (playing catch, batting practice, etc. with my husband) It's nice to hear you ladies are continuing with weightlifting. My doc said 2 things: at some point I would have to discontinue my bench press…
  • I feel like "the biggest eater" lol... I have had mine set to gain a pound a week since October and it seemed to be the magic number I needed to maintain. (Setting it to "maintain" even at the highest activity level gave me 2100 and I was still losing 1 pound per week!) I eat 2600 and usually eat exercise calories too. It…
  • Did you accurately describe your daily activity level when you signed up? Are you trying to lose more than 1 pound per week? 1200 daily calories is not a magic diet number that should be assigned to everyone seeking to lose weight. I probably ate around what your old norm is or a little more and lost no more weight at…
  • Softball for fitness (you can get great cardio and an ab workout with batting practice and running around on the field, playing catch, etc) For competition: Softball and Kickball
  • I started lifting in March 2012. I use a combination of free weights and machines. I lift as heavy as I can and either do biceps, triceps, shoulders, back or chest plus legs with one or two of those. I only do one per workout and spend 30-45 minutes lifting per session. Here are some pics February: 16473868_7140 by…
  • you will lose the fat through calorie restriction, whether you are burning the cals with cardio or not...don't lose too fast because then you lose more muscle mass than intended I feel like you are not doing hard enough squats and lunges if you are able to do them 3-5 times per week. My legs get insanely sore when I give…
  • I smoked a pack a day for as long as I can remember. I'm sure there were times when I smoked more in a day but I can't remember a day without opening a pack. Started in 1992 and quit Jan 7th this year, 3 days after I found out I was pregnant. Yes it took 3 days, I'm sure there are people who would and wouldn't understand…
  • My doctor said it usually takes 8-12 months, just keep trying :) Plus you already had those tests come back with good info!
  • Don't use the hot tub! I think you should get the doctor's okay for both of the first questions. I got the doctor's okay to continue lifting. I started in March 2012. I stopped lifting until my first appointment though, I think you should let him/her examine you and see your overall fitness level so you can discuss it.
  • Hi everyone, I am pregnant with my first child and due September 16th, glad to meet all of you. I stopped using this site to lose weight in July last year and have been experimenting with maintenance. Soon I will change my ticker and reflect my healthy gains. I was advised to gain 25-30 pounds. I think I might have already…
  • I don't know...my nails have those and I have been trying to maintain my weight since July so I eat quite a bit more, actually since October I have been on a daily net goal of 2600. This gives me more opportunity for more nutrients but I just track my macros currently to ensure I get enough protein and fiber and am not…
  • People don't WANT to believe you. You are actually putting in effort. Notice how they disappear as soon as you can't name the magic pill you are "using"???
  • I believe it is 500. *unnecessarily quoting you to clear up any confusion anyone may have had as to why I said that and to make the thread longer and prettier...

  • How could a tiny spat (you not wanting to leave for a walk when he did) lead to these things being said? Lazy Fat *kitten* Never Be Thin Again Never Be Good For Anything Stupid Please explain. Do you constantly fight? There is more to the story? These are separate things he has said at separate times?
  • They are okay but 1200 is a low amount of food. Generally people who are gaining at this number could stand to eat more to lose. I lost no more weight at 1420 than I did at 2100. Make sure you try to exercise. 1500 or 1600 net would be a better try for a month then adjust. I don't find those meals very filling either...
  • Go with him to the grocery store and pack your lunch. Good choices at panda are non-fried dishes paired with steamed rice and no fried appetizers. Taco bell has fresco style tacos to cut down on fat.
  • this responsibility can be taken care of without trickery which is great because then you are also teaching kindness and compassion for others.
  • I don't understand this. If you didn't wish to eat something, would you want someone to hide it in your food?
  • I never tracked them while losing. I can see them in my printable report though. I am in maintenance and my intake during December was around 3-400 grams per day. I guess while losing weight I was eating 2-300. Rather than focusing on carbs, I just figured if I got the recommended protein and didn't go crazy on fat, the…
  • Minus the day you ate a lot of candy, it looked like you were consistently under the recommended intake. If you are going to give this a serious shot, you should strive to meet the calorie goal. Coming in 1-200 calories below is not going to give you faster or better results, it will just mess with the experiment. Try to…
  • that's terrifying! Dudes better not bench press alone with free weights then!
