  • Thank you so much everyone! These are all incredibly helpful. Most of this stuff I already have too, so its not a problem. The dumb bells are just bars that you add weight discs to, so changing the weight isn't a problem at all. I just needed to know where to start. A few weeks ago I read an article on why machines were…
  • Thank you so much! That is a great help. I will get to this today.
  • Excellent!!!:drinker:
  • I am a very happily married straight woman. But I have to say it. You have a great *kitten*! LOL. Congrats on your hard work! And yes, 3 pounds is an amazing difference. You look great!!

  • Wow!! Excellent job!! You want the IMG code at the bottom of the list and then change the IMG to img at the beginning and end of the code.
  • I too started at 1200. Joined EM2WL and upped my calories to 1400. I still had a hard time netting enough calories though. I read Dan's in place of a roadmap. At the time I had been stuck at 14 lbs loss for 3 weeks. After reading Dan's road map thread and a few other posts he had written responses to, I did my numbers and…
  • You are welcome. Prior I did 3 days cardio for hour each time (arc trainer, swimming, biking) alternated with 3 days at 45 to 60 minutes of strength training on weight machines. The past two weeks I have been doing 1 day of interval training on arc trainer, swimming etc, 2 days of weight training, and this week I added a…
  • Dan broke my plateau! The man knows his stuff. I am almost 5 ft 4 in. I weigh 177.8 as of the end of last week. I read some of Dan's post and after following it for a few days, I went from 14 lbs lost for 3 weeks straight to 17 lbs lost, then 19 lbs lost for in two consecutive weeks. I eat close to 1790 calories,…
  • The best exercise is the one you are willing to do and love to do. Running is a great option. So is weight lifting, zumba, walking, biking, cardio. Pick one, pick ten. It doesn't matter as long as it is working for you. Keep up the great progress!!
  • You look fantastic!!! Your journey has been a complete success!! Thank you for sharing and good luck on reaching your goal!
  • My first suggestion is always the same. Take a before picture and keep taking them every few weeks or once a month. If you don't see the scale moving, you will at least see the difference in the pictures. I cannot stress it enough. I have tried several times to lose weight and always ended up failing. This time I took…
  • A big congrats to you!!! I am very proud of you for standing up for yourself. You look great in your bikini!!! I wear mine outside in my backyard all the time. I know its not necessarily "public", but I have neighbors and no fences, so for me its a biggie. Last year I felt self conscious in my one piece. I feel much more…
  • You look bangin' hot!!!! Congrats on your success!!
  • SW: 186.4 (at start of challenge 6/24/12) CW: 177.8 7/28/12 GW: 166.4 (for challenge) Week 1 loss: 3.6 lbs Week 2 loss: 0.4 lbs Week 3 loss: 0.6 lbs Week 4 loss: 1.8 lbs Week 5 loss 2.2 lbs Weight left to go for challenge: 12.2 lbs Wow, 5 weeks to go. I lost just about 9 lbs so far. I need to step up my game!! LOL.
  • I try not to now. The frozen diet dinners I used to eat for lunch every day at work for like 3 months straight. I was just trying to get my calories in control. I lost ZERO weight eating them and finally gave them up. The only thing I eat frozen now is veggies and occasionally ice cream. There will not be any frozen…
  • Wow! You are gorgeous! Awesome job on accomplishing your mission!! Job well done. Love your arms and shoulders!
  • Pack your lunch. Make it healthy. As for what your friends are eating, you don't have to eat what they are eating. Be you, don't be them. And you really need to find some time to sleep. Sorry, its the mother in me coming out, lol.
  • I had put going to the gym on hold for just about a month and have been walking and swimming a lot instead. I missed the weights, so I went back yesterday and did some lower body weights. Today I went and did upper body and the arc trainer. Didn't realize how much I actually missed it until I went back.
  • 100 lbs down is a very big deal!! Congrats to you!!! You look phenomenal and beautiful!!
  • My sister uses one on her son when they go somewhere with tons of people. He has autism and takes off without a second's notice. She also has a daughter whom she has never used one on. I think there are times when they are necessary. I think it is much safer than losing your child at an amusement park when they can't…
  • You look amazing!!! I know you will get out of your slump. You have come so far in six years. Its too much work to just give up. You have lost an entire person. A person who is the size of one of my mini goals!! You got this girl!!!
  • Fabulous!! You look great!!!
  • Im eating 1739 which is a 20% cut from my TDEE. I usually net about 1300 to 1400. For a while I was eating 1100 to 1300 and only netting about 700 to 800. I stopped losing for 3 weeks. I increased last Thursday and have lost 4 lbs since then. This worked for me. Try increasing your calories. If I have a high burn day,…
  • You are doing fantastic! Awesome work!!
  • Great job!!! I can already tell a difference! You got this!!!
  • You look stunning!! I am sure your husband's jaw dropped when he realized it was you. Your story is amazing and very inspiring. Thank you for sharing!!
  • I completely understand this. I once used to drink 2 64oz pepsi or mt. dew every day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon at work. I went through a divorce and stayed with a friend for a few weeks. She only had diet pepsi on hand. After staying there and drinking the diet pop, regular pop was suddenly too sweet for…
