It's very helpful to lift weights to tone things up.

Nice job! Very impressive.

Nice...your arms are ripped!

Super job, you look great. Wear those stretch marks proudly...they are you battle scars!

Yeah, but you cheated...the 301 starting weight included the fish, right? Just kidding, you've done an amazing job and even better than the weight loss is the healthy lifestyle of running with your wife every day. Way to go, keep up the good work!

Great job, you look wonderful! Swimming, usually doesn't get much credit as an effective exercise for losing weight. That's obviously not the case with you. It sure is much easier on your skeletal system than running. How many times per week and how long do you swim? Keep up the good work! Greg

Hi Lialena, Thoes are awesome instructions for using Paint to make a college, thanks! You wouldn't happen to have something similar for posting images, would you? I've tried multiple times and just end up with a string of text with [*img] on either end. I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, but I don't understand why it's…

Your story is very inspirational, thanks for sharing and congratulations! Your determination and commitment is commendable. I hope that you continue to be happy with your new relationship and that your son has some success of his own. Peace be with you.

I had and lost a lap band after two slips. It's a slow loss method and there is the constant filling and unfilling of the band. After I had my band removed I tried on my own again for two years and gradually gained the weight and my diabetes back. I finally sucked it up and had Gastric Sleeve surgery. It was a breeze…

Way to go...great job!

I am averaging around 1500 calories per day. If I can keep it closer to 1300, I start losing again, but that's pretty tough. It's funny how your body seems to know exactly how many calories it needs to maintain. I'm very diligent about tracking everything I consume, so it's pretty easy to tweak my intake either total…

Yea, that's a good point about watching the carbs. I've played around with that and found that if I stay around 100 g or less for the day, I can lose. As soon as I go over that amount, regardless of total calories, I stay the same or even gain. I think that possibly because I'm Type II, I just can't handle the resulting…

Hi - I have struggled all of my life too so I know how you feel. I have been Type II for almost 10 years and it's slowly killing me. I'm only about 60 lbs. over weight but on a 5'5" frame it's enough to reek havoc on my health. I've tried everything with limited short-term success so I finally decided to have weight loss…

Congrats, you look great...and you get bonus points for doing it without diets, pills or anything that a lesser person would use.

WW uses the point system, and gives you credit for high fiber, high protein, and low fat foods. It's a little easier to keep track once you learn the points system, but some people get caught eating too many calories because of the credit for high fiber and exercise. Overall, it's a good system. I have been more successful…

Ok great, thanks!

I found that EAS powder is very tasty. I mix it with skim milk and never get tired of it. Sams used to carry it at a reasonable price, but now I buy it on line...Walgreens last time had the best price.

I found that I cannot take food credit for my exercise. I think that it's because I have been exercising for so long that it's the norm for my body. Honestly, I don't lose at 1300 calories per day...I have to be under 1000 to actively lose. Try not taking calorie credit for your exercise and stick to the 1200 CPD and see…

I'm trying to decide....what to do, what to do. I think that I'm going to start watching TV one hour later and work on a project until 9:00. It's really too easy for me to do nothing after work. Anyone else feel like that?
