When I know I'm going out to eat I like to look at the menu first if there's one posted on-line. Then I do a search for the calories of that particular meal and make a decision that way.

Apparently there was a lot of thrusting going on...she always had candy.

I eat quite a bit of vegetables (mainly cucumbers and green peppers) when I am really hungry and I don't want to go over on my calories. Vegetables are low calorie and filling.
-
Me, too! I'm good with always having to enter my food. I might be good with math, but when it comes to estimating calories...forget it!

katewebb18...look how cute you are! 9

Yes, as soon as I pushed save you were there. I put an edit on there. I'm sorry. One night stand for you. :)

I'm gonna have to stand you up. You have the whole female thing going on... LOL! Of course, I wonder how quick I can get this posted. If there is a guy there now...I'm sorry.

I have something sweet every day. I don't set aside any specific amount of calories each day because it may change. Some days I want cookies, some days its cake, ice cream, or chocolate. Some days, a bowl of cereal is enough to satisfy my sweet tooth. However, if I don't have enough colories left for what I want to have,…

When I was losing weight (43 pounds lost) I didn't eat any of my exercise calories back. I lost weight very steadily and didn't have any problems. Now that I'm maintaining, I eat my calories back.

I will always have to log my food. I can't estimate calories to save my life. LOL!

Can other beans be soaked, cooked and frozen as well? It could be done, right? I use a lot of different kinds of beans and I guess I never thought of freezing them.

Go to the library and check out some fitness dvd's by different fitness people. For me, when I found Chris Freytag's stuff, I wanted to workout every day. I absolutely love her and have since purchased a couple sets of her videos. I started out working out to Chris's stuff 3-5 days a week and for about 15 months now, I…

I don't have cheat days. Whenever I want something, I just fit it into my calorie goal for the day.

I'm pretty sure that I will always have to log my food. I may be good at math, but when it comes to estimating my food intake...I'm awful. So, I know what you mean.

If something is high in carbs, it is going to be high in calories. Cutting down on carbs automatically reduces the number of calories. Having said that, some meats are high in calories and there aren't carbs in that, so there is the exception. Anyway, if I've cut down on carbs, then I've eaten less calories. If I eat other…

Anything from Chris Freytag. Her newest video workouts are HIIT and are excellent. Her 10 Pound Slimdown workouts are awesome, too. Chris's workouts are really changing my body.

I would log it for the day that I do the workout, but I don't think it really matters. Log it how you want.

None of the above. I don't limit or deprive myself. If I want a cookie, then I have one. If I want a piece of cake, then I have a small one. If I want a hot dog at a cookout, I have one. You get the idea. I log it and I make sure it all fits in my calorie limit for the day.

1 pound a week is about right. That's roughly what I've been losing. I know you want it to come off quickly, but remember a slower loss usually results in a more permanent loss. That's because you are getting more practice living (and eating) a healthier lifestyle. Also, you don't want the weight to come off so quickly…

Why have a day you call a "cheat day"? So, if my cheat day is Saturday, does that mean that I can't have someone's birthday cake on Tuesday? What if there are a few get togethers in 1 week and I want to have something? Does that mean I can't? I don't do "cheat" days. I eat what I feel like having on the day I feel like…

I make my own pizza crust and put it all together myself. I love it and it's waaaay better for me than ordering it. Each slice is only 250 calories, so I allow myself 2 slices. It could probably be less than that if I put less cheese on it, but I don't want less cheese on it.
-
I work them into my calories. I don't deprive myself of what I want to have, but I do take smaller portions of it. As a matter of fact, I have something sweet nearly every day and I've lost about 25 lbs in about 4 months.

You don't have to put nuts in the granola, so that eliminates that issue. I think you will be hard pressed to find a recipe that is low cal. The ingredients included are higher calorie and since it is higher calorie, then it will automatically be high carbs. It is healthy, though and has whole grains. Here is the recipe I…

Generally, frozen processed dinners aren't really that good of an idea, but you have to make your own decisions. Here are some options: What about making soups in the crockpot then freezing it in single serving sizes? You could grab that before you leave for work and it would probably be thawed before lunch so you don't…

What about checking out exercise videos from your local library. Public libraries usually have a good selection.

I stopped eating the microwave popcorn (I'm not talking about the popcorn you can pop in a lunch bag) when people were coming down with popcorn lung. I bought an air popper for like $15 and love it. I pop it and put a little parm cheese on it. There aren't many calories in it...it'll tell you on the bag how many. Besides…

I'm with you guys. I don't and have never made everyone a different meal for dinner. I do not run a restaurant. They eat what I make or they can go hungry. It's that simple, but they've never gone hungry. ...and my kids are 16 and 17 and are still alive to tell about it. Once in awhile I will allow them to eat soemthing…

I stopped drinking all carbonated beverages in May 2007. I did not notice any weight loss.

I put cinnamon and some raisins...no sugar. Then I put a small amount of almond milk in it.
