You have to retrain your brain and body for the new lifestyle. It is going to take time and effort and won't be easy at first, but it will get easier. Don't give up. I set my goal for 1/2 lb a week and when i consistently have several calories left over each day, i cut my calorie count back a little.

Ignore people who are confused or ignorant about proper nutrition if you can't open their eyes. Go with what you know to be correct and listen to your own body.

It is converted back into energy to use. It is kind of like have a gas can in the back of the truck with gas, when the tank needs more you use the gas can, same kind of thing with stored fat with fewer calories consumed than used.

I helped my spouse set up his account. He isn't into keeping track, but does eat according to his plan and lets me know if he cheats. He lost 10 lbs in the first 2 weeks. I'm so proud of him.

Try then on salads or come up with a bean salad (I have a 4 bean salad I do) that fits your families tastes.

I don't go to the gym. I work 12 hour shifts and it isn't possible for me. I did no exercise of any kind when I started. I now walk 20-30 minutes 3-4 times a week and find I enjoy it. Every little bit is an improvement and a step closer to a healthy lifestyle and it is all about changing for the better.

you can lose weight, but there is more to being healthy than just your weight. It is a matter of balance. A sweet or high fat food once in a while is okay. I find it helps me stay with the program and the longer i am on it the less often I want them. The whole point is to make healthy changes you can stick to.
