My first leather skirt. I had wanted one for so long and my husband bought me one a few years after we were married. i haven't been able to wear it for at least 10 years.

I think when friends and family make comments like "that would be to skinny" they think deep down that it will make it easier for us. We won't have as much stress since we won't have as much to lose?

i don't do weights, bike or anything like that and mine are 14 1/4 (smaller than they used to be) and I have been told for years I had muscular calves.

If you don't take in enough calories you body goes into a type of hybernation mode and stores them thinking it is going to starve. I went on an 1800 ADA based and actually do an average of about 1500-1600 and have been losing between a 1/2 lb and a lb a week minimum.

moderation, moderation, moderation. I think sometimes with potatoes it isn't them, it is the butter/cheese/sour cream/ etc we add. I cut way back on the extras and have been doing well with my weight loss and still get to enjoy the spuds i love

Maybe it is the thought it provokes, being overweight and lazy? I prefer to think of it as my "journey of self discovery and personal awareness"

I know it may sound odd after the other postings, but. If I have to do McD's i opt for the kids 4 piece chicken nugget with apple slices. Don't eat the caramel and have an ice tea with lemon.

nuts or a homemade trail mix?

have you tried the pastas made out of veggies? try making smoothies or use a juicer to incorporate veggies hidden in fruit juice mixture. How about stuffing pasta with a mixed veggie mixture

stop wearing the baggy clothes to hide it from yourself, the reminder might be the motivation you need to stay on track. Also buy that outift you want to wear when you get to your target weight and put it out so you look at it at least once a day.

Costco has frozen sirlion burger patties that are 1/3 lb i think and high in protein. Or smoothies with spinach and protein powder

has anyone tried substituting sugar free cake mix to reduce the sugar?
-
designed a personal meaning tat, gonna get it done WOOHOO

but a pound of fat looks different on the body then a pound of muscle!
-
Have you tried making a schedule (with posted reminders) to eat 2-3 hundred well balanced calories several times a day. Your stomach will adjust with time to accomodate the change.
-
I was the same, chiro worked wonders for me. Just need occasional adjustments now.
-
A combo would be best, just remember that muscle weighs more than fat and how you feel and how your clothes fit needs to be considered to.

Try basing your carb intake on an equivilant Diabetic program.

keep a journal of how much it costs for your meal plan versus his meals, see how it looks on paper and show him. I also agree with him doing his cooking. If you both have outside responsibilties he should share in the work at home. But that works at my house, it is easier than him doing ALL his own chores lol

speed isn't what counts, keeping with it is the vital thing. Don't beat yourself up about it.

bbg pulled chicken on sara lee 45 cal bread, jalapeno cheese and cool ranch doritos, and still way under cal so far today

Try upping your intake by just a couple of hundred for a week or so and then go back and see what happens.
-
Any progress is good, some times it will fall off faster than others. Just don't give up.

I count anything that elevates my heart rate or is out of my normal routine. I figure if i do something that causes exertion out of my normal or that i have planned for as a bonus. Every little bit helps

There are exercising used for seniors with health issues, lots of them from a chair that might be helpful at least to start with or for those bad days. Hope this helps
