I had heard this too - I heard that you need to do intense cardio and build muscle to lose weight. I was thinking of Body Beast workouts, mixed with cardio and then calorie deficit to make sure I lost instead of gaining. Trying to find something that is manageable but can't decide between Body Beast or T25 - I know I do…
-
Yes that does make sense? I'm guessing that T25 is mostly aerobic style without any weight lifting? I was quite interested in Body Beast as I prefer strength training but understand that this is a bulking programme - although the website doesn't state it!
-
When you mean BB do you mean Beach Body or Body Beast? Which would you recommend for being lean? Lots of people seem to be mentioning T25.

I want to lose fat and gain some muscle ultimately. I feel quite clueless how to do this, hence why I'm looking at the Beach Body productions. I really need something that I can follow to get results without getting stressed over whether I'm doing it right or not working out a particular part of my body. I had considered…

Thanks - I'm assuming some are to lose weight and others to gain mass? Just not sure which is which!!

I actually do like milk but was concerned that I'm drinking too much of it - just from things I've read online. I love a latte from Starbucks too!

The 'lolo' apps on the iPhone are very good. The running coach is great and changes your music speed to fit your workout!
-
How would you know if you were allergic to it? I can drink it during the day but not on evenings - not sure why. Although I know I'm not lactose intolerant.

Would definitely say you need some protein in there. I'm always short of time on a morning when I eat cereal bars for breakfast they don't affect my hunger at all! I have a clean protein breakfast smoothie: 200g of semi skimmed milk (although I am going to experiment with soya/almond milk) 2 tablespoons of authentic 0% Fat…

Thanks @Hornsby - I'll check it out.

Thanks all for your advice. I decided not to go with the Surge and just use my phone and Runkeeper to track my runs. I'll use my Fitbit Flex to sync steps through MFP.
-
This is also another thing I had read and it does have some truth. I wondered if Soya had the same affect though. I'm trying to keep my calcium up!
-
I'm in! :)

I'm wondering if it's best to just leave Fitbit out of the equation if it's not going to talk to other services. Don't like the idea of being tied into a particular service but then again I like their trackers - decisions, decisions!
-
I just like everything in sync. I used to use syncmetrics.com which worked really well but it has shut down :( Do you know if it shares Map/GPS data?
-
Thank you! To be honest you have answered my question/concern. I like the analytics that Runkeeper/MapMyRun provide so if the Surge doesn't share that with Fitbit I'm not sure that it's going to be for me :-(
-
Oh confused now! @shadow2soul how did you get it to work? Does it sync the maps of your run too? Would it work with MapMyRun?
-
As much as I love them - crisps/potato chips because I eat too many and then my calorie count goes too far :(
-
I really like Beatburn too - just wish it would sync with MFP! I've found MapMyRun to be quite effective for looking at stats etc and it plays well with other services like MFP, FitBit etc.

Feel free to at me - I need lots of encouragement!
