  • You said you only eat one regular meal a day? Eating several smaller meals is much better than not eating enough. If you're eating less than 1200ish calories a day you're definitely doing yourself a disservice. As for being a DDD buy an Enell Sports bra. I started running with one of those! They don't let anything move…
  • My first or second week I lost 9lbs but I was pretty obese so that's not that uncommon the first couple weeks if you really stick to the goal of 2lbs a week loss. In the end it has still evened out to about 1.5lbs a week. I also did start drinking just water. So of course there was water weight, but it doesn't matter in…
  • Always love another DT fan!!!
  • "there are other worlds than these" Stephen King's Dark Tower Series "Winter is Coming" George RR Martin's Game of Thrones series (and yes I was a fan LOOOONG before the HBO show!) They are my two favorite book series ever and I think that the SK one always makes me remember that there are other places than where we are…
  • Two things need to happen, You need to give yourself time to catch up to what you really look like. It took me about 6 months to realize I had actually lost 70+pounds (I was in maintenance for awhile). Its okay that it takes time. The second thing is that you need to work on the issues that make you feel less than…
  • I have a 2009 Chevy HHR and love it! We only have one child so no worries about squishing 3 in the back seat. You can technically put three back there but I don't think it would be comfortable. Two adults can comfortably fit in back if our son isn't with us.
  • In the summer when its not cold I like it. As for the kiddo or a fire, that's what a robe is for. My robe is hanging RIGHT next to my head. I can grab it in an instant and my son is 5 and still doesn't mind if we walk around naked. I'm sure eventually that will change but for now he doesn't care so I don't care.
  • If being married is important to Jane, then leave him, his idea of forever and hers aren't the same. If a long term committed relationship is enough for her then no big deal. For ME being married was important. It was/is for my husband too. We've been married 10 years now. But when we got serious, even before we were…
  • I dropped from a 40DDD to a 36D when I lost the 76lbs. So yes they went down but they aren't going to go away. Even at my perfect pre-child high school weight I was a 36C so this is perfectly okay by me :D
  • Right away? no because even though I was losing weight I was changing my activity level and exercise amount etc and felt much more tired sometimes. Overall now (18months later) ABSOLUTELY!

  • I do let my friends see it but honestly it's just about privacy in general. I answer only to myself and I don't feel like having anyone browse through my diary. I wouldn't let a stranger into my kitchen either LOL
  • SLEEP! I'm a nursing student so I pull loooonnnngggg hours and that means I don't always have time for a workout or I have ONLY 30 min, so I use it and don't worry about it. If I don't get 7 hours of sleep I'm a monster and I can't learn and function properly.
  • I graduated high school in 2000 and I weighed between 145-150 (I'm not 100% sure) and I currently weigh 165. I wear it differently now though too which is part of my complaint (post child and all). So my goal now is to get to 155-160 and be happy and TONED at that weight. My weight when I started here (which is my highest)…
  • I should really edit my posts but I'll put it here too. The amount of protein per body weight should be in the healthy range of your TARGET weight, not your current weight. So my current weight is 165lbs but I'm consuming about 145-155g of protein a day (on a good day, I don't always hit that). And of course what works for…
  • You're not adding all of it from powder. I do use a protein shake to supplement the amount i eat because I have an issue eating the sheer volume of food that requires of me. So it's a really easy way to get an extra 20-30g of protein a day in a shake after a workout especially.
  • A lot of reading will show that the 40% protein 30/30% carbs/fat is a very reasonable ratio. Which works out much closer to the 1g of body weight not just lean body mass. It's the ratio I've used for quite awhile as well.
  • If you're using MFPs recommended protein you'll need to up it, MFP sets protein pretty low. In a pinch I have used the Light Muscle Milk ones (chocolate only and cold!) But mostly I make my own using protein powder from GNC.
  • I totally forgot about Screech LOL! He visited my high school because he only lives 20 min from me.
  • Random people: Tom Brokaw Kato Kaelin (went to my high school a few years before me but came back for a homecoming game LOL) Bands: Sheryl Crow Boyz II Men Reel Big Fish Bare Naked Ladies Actress Halle Berry Writers: Margaret Weis Tracy Hickman Olympic swimmer Garrett Weber-Gale, we went to high school together so I knew…
  • Yup when I started and was set up to lose 2lbs a week I ate right at my calories (within 10 over/under) and I lost 2lbs a week or MORE sometimes early on. If you have a lot to lose you might find that you'll lose more than the 2lbs a week sometimes eating those calories. It slows down later. Edit: I focused on getting my…
  • This really varies based on how you're built. My target it 150-155, but my ULTIMATE goal would be 142-145 which is what I weighed at 17/18 and was perfect for me. I've always had boobs, hips and a butt, I'm an hourglass shape so it works for me. I'm 29 now though and I'm not sure it's realistic to be that weight so we'll…
  • No Chipotle here but we have Qdoba. I love a naked burrito, double beans, no rice. Totally worth it. I'm going to cut down on fast food to once a month. No fried foods except for fries (but I'm REALLY going to try and cut these out but they are my FAVORITE FAVORITE FOOD EVER!) so cutting back is all I can promise.
  • I was a tech tech for 5 years and often worked in surgery. I have 4 cats and they have all their claws because I saw how horrible it was. Spaying/neutering is completely different than declawing. I also own fabulous furniture and have no clawing issues. We have several scratching posts throughout the house (2500 sq feet…
  • The copper makes the uterus an inhospitable environment, by changing the cervical mucus (makes it thicker) so that sperm can not reach the egg, and by changing the lining of the uterus so that a fertilized egg can not implant, and there for you have a period normally because you are ovulating normally. Both versions are…
  • Actually an IUD works in several ways. The FIRST way it works is by not allowing sperm to reach the egg due to the change in the mucus. The second way it works is to stop implantation if fertilization does occur. The mirena has an additional method because it stops ovulation in SOME women. So it is important to know if…
  • I have the Mirena (progesterone only) version of the IUD. If you have not had any children insertion can be painful, it's much much less painful if you have had a child. The Copper (Paraguard) version is known for heavier and longer periods. The Mirena is known for shorter/lighter periods, and some women don't have a…
  • I think dropping to 1/2 a pound a week for those last 15-20 is most realistic. Adding in strength training becomes more important as well, so while you don't really get a lot more calories to eat with strength training the TYPE of calories you eat becomes really important, especially the amount of protein you're eating. If…
  • I don't think you NEED to leave work to have a child but you might find that you WANT to stay home, so planning for that and figuring out if/how to live on the other parent's income alone is a good strategy to see if it's possible. I thought I'd want to go back to work right away after having my son but felt COMPLETELY…
  • I think 21 is pretty young too, you have a LOT of time to decide to have kids. I believe that there's never a PERFECT TIME but there are really good times to have a child. I was married for 5 years when we had our first (and only) child. I was 24 and I think even that was a little young for us (my husband is 6 years older…
