Welcome to MFP, Karen. It's a wonderful site, that helped me change my life. Lots of great people and help! As you said, start with small goals first. You will not believe how much the small victories will motivate you:)

I have many NSV goals, but here is one that is a sure inspiration at the moment: After the last Christmas Season I bought some sexy lingerie ("Christmas themed), a few sized too small. My hubby would lose his mind.... ;)

Yes, I need a "startover". This week just did not turn out the way I planned! Next week, here I come!

Tonight we had meatballs, boiled then sauteed potatoes and broccoli. It was yummy:)

Perfect, this is exactly what I need. I have been eating much better but it is so hard for me to exercise. I need to get out more and add more exercise. I am IN!

I find berries are great filling snacks. I sometimes have a protein bar as a snack. Peanut or almond butter and Banana or apple. Peanut butter mixed with Greek yogurt for dipping fruits in it. :)

I'm 5'3" as well. My goal weight is 145 right now. I have a bigger frame, when I was around 140 I wore a size 8 and felt great. Will see when we get there if I can lose a few more or not.

Today I was home with my family, a well deserved day off. All day I felt so sluggish,. no energy, all I wanted to do was sit down and do nothing. We did take the kids to the park, then got a froyo treat, which was nice. I dragged myself to do some laundry, but I couldn't shake that sluggish feeling, I had no energy at all.…

Thank goodness no pain other times. Just when I walk briskly. Thank you guys for the replies. I'll try to walk a bit first, then stretch. Then look at the shoes issue. Then go from there.

Thank you for your replies! My walks are usually 30-45 minutes. I walk a bit uphill, that bothers me the most. I wear Nike air (torch I think), very comfortable, so I'm really not sure.

Yesterday I got in a brisk 35 minute walk. That being said I did not want to leave the house, so it was an accomplishment, lol You are all doing great! Keep it up:)

http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/SideSteel/view/the-cookie-684192 Read this blog. It motivated me so much. We want what we see, if it is not around it's less temptation, and will not be calling your name... And for the things you have to keep in your house, if you resist the temptation, you will feel 100 times better than…

You made the first step by posting. Now you have lots of people to hold you accountable. I know how you feel I did that to myself too. I have been here for almost a month and it is the best thing that has happened to me for a while. There are ALWAYS some members online, who can ALWAYS help you when you have a tough moment,…

I want bread and pastries to contain no calories... Oh and Iced Frappuccino type drinks....

Hi everyone:) I am 34, mommy of 2. I work part time, but before I used to manage a travel agency. I decided that it was time to put my family and myself first, so I quit and now I have a less stressful part time position. I have gained over 50lbs since I met my husband, 13 years ago. So 13 years worth of…

I'm from Brampton, Ontario:)

This is totally the opposite of what MFP is all about. Yes we need to eat healthy but we can absolutely have pasta and bread and yogurt and fruit juice and still lose weight I'm glad you ate your bread;)

Thank you! I'll start working on that core tonight:)
-
Thank you. I'm googling them. Bit behind with these names. ;)
-
I'm only on day 8, with a goal of losing 50lbs. Totally in!!!

Hello and welcome:) totally understand your frustration;) I am 34 with 2 kids and an office job... I am also 195, the heaviest I have been, including my pregnancies. I also think it "should be so easy to get motivated" but in reality it is not. I have been here for 1 week and so far, it is the best thing I have done in a…

Thank you:) I guess I am way low then, I was shooting for 1300-1400 on days I am not excercising. And these macros mess me up too, when I look at my diary!
