It took me a while before I would let my hubby be in the same room with me when I worked out. Then I got a little stronger and didn't feel quite so awkward. For whatever weird reason he thinks I'm sexy when I'm working out. Which although I don't understand it, I find it super encouraging.

I don't have large open spaces like in the video, do you think the mall would work?

Good for you, you must be so proud of yourself!! Keep up the great work!

I would add that while you shouldn't stress about every little calorie, if you frequently go over by 100 calories while you are at maintenance, it is a very different scenario than if you frequently go over by 100 calories a day while you are losing. For example, if you are set to lose 1 pound a week you have a built in…

That's an excellent point - I use mine this way too. I make a lot of soups and casseroles because 1) they are cheap and 2) leftovers are awesome. Being able to measure my ingredients, then use the recipe function on here helps a ton! In addition to accurate calories, you get more accurate macros too. For me knowing how…

For a lot of people starting out with a lot to lose, they will likely be pretty successful 'eyeballing' it for a while. And that's probably ok - too many changes at once can derail you! But when you have less to lose, or are trying to maintain, 50 calories off per meal/snack can add up really fast. I weigh nearly…

I use a minicycle, I have tried out a few different ones and this is the one I like best: http://www.amazon.com/DeskCycle-Exercise-Pedal-Exerciser-White/dp/B00B1VDNQA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1420225459&sr=8-1&keywords=desk+cycle You sit in your own chair, so weigh is not an issue, super compact so it doesn't take up a lot…

I knew I was going to indulge this week, so I worked on exercise this week, specifically #2 & #3. To count towards a 30 minute mini goal workout, I decided it had to be something I changed into workout clothes for. (So I did not count mini cycle that I do while at the computer, cleaning, walking etc) 2500 calories plus...…

Have this problem too, and this is what makes a HUGE difference for me: 1) Wear shoes and socks at all times, but don't put then on unless your feet are already warm. If they are cold, do #2 first. 2) Sit on the edge of your tub or the counter of your bathroom. Run a sink or tubful of warm water, and soak your feet for 2-3…

I've gone from 174 down to 129, which is 45 pounds in 47 weeks, so right around a pound a week. In October, I was approaching my goal weight so I dropped my weight loss rate from 1 pound a week to half a pound per week. Then in November, I had oral surgery, got the flu, had a gum biopsy done, then a relapse of the flu. So…

Not sure why cup size was included, but if OP is a ddd, that can affect what is a healthy weight for her. Compare an A cup with a triple D. Am I wrong to say there could be 5-7 pound difference in boobage alone? If anything I would suggest than means a healthy weight is slightly higher than average for 5'4

This is spot on, and something many of us could stand to be reminded of. Especially considering the new year with all it's resolutions is right around the corner. We have to anticipate the forums are going to be full of new people with all their questions and misconceptions.
-
Every 10 pounds or so it will give you a reminder notification that you have lost weight and might need to update your profile & goals to reflect your new statistics.
-
Also, the search forums tool is fantastic. You can find all sorts of helpful topics that pertain to you!

Yoga sounds good for me too this week - challenging, but not too strenuous. Plus I'll probably keep up with fruits & veg and water.

I'm on both sides. There is a part of me who really ignored exactly how much weight I gained. I used to be the skinny one who never had to worry about what I ate. I was underweight as a child, and being thin was a big part of my identity. So in some ways it feels like I am back to the 'real' me now that I hit my goal. On…

Congratulations on the babies, the pounds lost, muscles gained and streaks logged!! Keep the stories coming.

Way to go you guys! I love to hear from people who have been around for a long time. Gives me hope that I can do it too.

I hit weight goal this month, earlier than expected. (woohoo!) My goals for 2015 are to: 1) continue my logging streak and get it up to 700 days 2) maintain my current weight (which I have NEVER done after losing) 3) earn my green sash in gung fu
