The last thing I want to do is be discouraging, so please don't take this that way. Most of what you lost was water weight. Your body I adjusting to your new routine. Doing the exact same thing will not result in a 4 pound weight loss next week, so don't get discouraged if it feels like the scale barely moves after this…

There are so many different experiences with this. Some people don't adjust well to maintenance because they never really learned how to have a healthy relationship with food. Some people only know how to 'diet'. Some people lose motivation when they don't have the victory on the scale every week. Some people have to weigh…

I take a martial arts class 3 times a week. I'm not a very fast learner, but I am progressing - and I am in MUCH better shape! In my class, most of the girls are tougher than the guys. Not necessarily in who could beat up who, but in who will endure the tougher workouts without whining.

45-60 minutes 5 days a week is nothing to be ashamed of. I very rarely work out on the weekends either. For me it's part of the 'sustainability' I mentioned in my comment. I think doing something I can keep up with is far more important than trying to keep up with anyone else. :)

I do martial arts for 90 minutes 3x a week, a Movnat class 2x a week, Insanity Max30 2x a week, and use a minicycle for about 15 hours per week. But what is right for me probably isn't right for you. You need to figure out what your fitness goals are, and what you can sustainably do to reach your goals.

I find I am more satiated when I get lots of protein in a day. I aim for 80-100 grams per day. Sometimes though, I just get extra hungry. Like stomach-growling-loudly-enough-to-be-embarrassing hungry. For me, it's usually hormone related. (I get extra hungry around ovulation for example). When this happens, I try to eat…

It sounds like you are frustrated that this is taking longer than you like. Just to get some perspective, how long since you have started counting calories and working out? How much weight have you lost in that time frame?
-
80 -100 grams of protein a day is usually recommended, as is incorporating some sort of strength training. It doesn't have to be lifting weights - doing exercises that incorporate body weight like squats, lunges, push-ups & planks can help you retain muscle mass while losing weight.

Congratulations! And it sounds like you've got your head in the right place to I expect you'll have just as much success with maintaining as you did with losing. I hit my goal 3 days before Christmas last year, so tomorrow is my 1 year anniversary. I was nervous about it happening around the holidays, that I would fall off…

When you say you have talked with him about this, what exactly does that mean? Are you listening or just talking? What is his point of view? Does he feel like he is allowed his own opinion and journey separate from yours?

If you aren't using a food scale, and are losing about a pound a week, you are eating closer to 1100 calories per day, not 600-700. And you absolutely shouldn't eat any less than you are. Give it more time. Even if I ate the exact thing every day I wouldn't lose the same amount each week. Some weeks you hold onto water…

I may have worded that poorly. I don't care what anyone thinks about my body, except me. Additionally I want a body that is pleasing to my husband because I love him and want to feel/be sexy for him. He has never been anything but supportive and encouraging because he finds me beautiful both in mind and in body, even when…

I'm the opposite. All my jeans are snug in the backside with a huge gap at the waist. I've had people suggest to me I should stop losing weight. (This was 8 months into maintenance). I've had people tell me they think the best weight for my body is about 25 pounds more than I currently weigh. I've had people tell me I'm…

He just wanted to know if he did the math the right way.

We can't double check your math for you without all the numbers. We are missing how much cashews you used (by weight) and what the calories per ounce/gr for the cashews you used. If a serving of the cashews you used is 160 calories per ounce, and you used 7 ounces, the total calories would be 1120 and if you divide that by…

The first 6 months or so were tough because it was a new habit I was trying to form. 2 years later, the habits are in place, so I don't need the excitement or motivation any more than I need motivation to take a shower every day or do the dishes when they are dirty. I don't feel like I need to be excited about those…

Fantastic! You may see this frequently, what looks like a few weeks of stalling, followed by a large loss. Just know it's normal, and don't let it frustrate you into giving up. You may also try tracking your weight on something like Trendweight.com It helps you see the average loss over time, not the wacky fluctuations.

I'm pretty sure I'm reading sarcasm here. My kids have always known they have to pay the "mom tax" in candy for me taking them trick or treating. I liked it better when they were younger though, and were super shy about taking candy, they would just grab anything, and end up with a bunch of things they don't like, which I…

I've seen a lot of eating disorder recovery people on these threads. And yes, many of them struggle sometimes with meeting the calories, and sometimes with binging as their bodies recover. You are not alone. I'm sure others will reach out to you. Does your recovery include meeting regularly with a therapist? Stay strong -…

I have a sweet tooth, and I've been eating tons. But I've also been working out tons, and making it fit my calories for the day.

Welcome! There is a great collection of helpful suggestions and tips here: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10260517/most-helpful-posts-getting-started-must-reads#latest I think this one is my favorite:…

It's great that you are here seeking answers and open to changes you may need to make. I personally don't see anything glaringly wrong with what you are eating and how you are logging. You may be one of the people who lose weight in "whooshes". That happened to me all throughout my weight loss phase. 1 week, lose 1 pound.…

Something to consider: You have lost 2 pounds in about 3 weeks. I don't think you fall into the category of not losing. Perhaps you aren't losing as fast as you had hoped. I noticed many days you are below what MFP tells you to eat. So you are probably thinking you should be losing faster not slower. Or at least the buffer…

Tired, yes. Fatigued, no. Maybe 5 days a week is too much with the load you are carrying. But instead of each day deciding if you should go, perhaps in this season, choose (for example) to go M-W-F. So you are still working out regularly, but not overdoing it. I think if you plan your days "off" it might help with your…

If you workout well from home, why do you think you need to go to the gym? I've never worked out in a gym, but that doesn't mean I can't be healthy or fit.

Good times :)

From your comment it sounds like you are saying Max 30 is easier than running. There are tons of ways to vary the intensity of Max 30. You can do faster reps. Do lower squats and lunges. Make sure your elbows are in for push-ups or do them with your feet elevated. Switch to the red discs. Do 2 rounds. If you are doing it…

I want to point out, the workouts are good for you. They are helping you to become stronger and more healthy. However, they will not add much to your weight loss, for that part you need to do as others have said, and make sure you are at a decent calorie deficit.

Are you bragging or complaining?
