I once had this power, but now spend my time just TRYING ;)

In my experience, most general practicioners (ie. the first doctor 99% of people see) don't know much about sports medicine or physiology, and any advice they give is heavily skewed towards protecting their rear. On a broader scale, I find it depressing on how large the number of people who barely cross the competency…

Every one of them. I wouldn't want to kiss any of 'em.

Isn't a chicken technically a bird?
-
I sometimes eat the chicken first, then the green peas, sometimes the other way, and on days I feel really frisky, I eat them together. Some days, not a lot of energy left, so I just rotate the plate 90 degrees.

Replace fruits with vegetables as much as you can. Green Peas are good replacement, tomatoes.

I can speak for myself, and people who I know who lift weights, your sense of being watched is only in you :) Most people are there to work hard, and tend to be inward focused on their stuff. If I look at people its mostly to judge whether it looks like they are about to be done with the station/machine.

Processing of foods requires energy, so technically you can make a case for foods burning fat. In that case, protein rich foods burn the most fat, since protein processing ins the least efficient one in our bodies (compared to fat and sugar processing). HOWEVER ! In the grand scheme of things, the amount of energy used for…

Just finished season 1, this show rocks. I like Rose or Red or whatever her name is ;) sorry, my audio processing units weren't working very well due to the massive surge of bloodflow to the visual processing units LOL. Tyrion's new GF is interesting too, I sense she will play some key role later on.

PSHHH... old people.... I got 7 months left ;)

Heheh, one thing I learned the hard way is that wild blueberries help reign in loose bowels... and when yours is normal, it hardens up things..... And the beef jerky, the only reason I didn't start on the 2nd pack (they come as 2-packs) is because I was lazy to go to the kitchen to get it. Luckily they raised the price to…

10 pounds of wild blueberries in one sitting. Also once ate a whole bag of beef jerky from costco.

You know stress is not good for weight loss, right? ;)

Oh and have protein snacks throughout the day, help your body repair that muscle.

Two days lactic acid is not unusual, what you feel is that you did the workout right :) I'd recommend doing mostly the same thing today with much lighter weights, its called exercise-recovery, and helps flush the lactic acid out.

Bake, cut in half and eat with a spoon.. its yummy. don't even need all the stuff you put on regular potatoes. Also try sweet potato fries (homemade) its pretty good.

Daily, first thing in the morning, after bathroom, before coffee or anything else consumed. HOWEVER (!), don't look at the daily numbers, always look at seven of them for the trend. Focus on a single day will cause you anxiety and headache (unless you understand sodium/water retaining)... weight loss/gain is something that…

Costco sells 12 Chobani 0% (blueberry, strawberry, peach) for under 12 bucks, 140 cal, love those things.

Gross :) I see three heart attacks right there.

My first reaction is to quote Yoda: "Try not, do". I am living proof that "try" is not good enough; I promise you if you precisely log everything you eat and exercise, you will go through the following phases: 1. You'll be surprised how much you underestimate calories consumed. Advice: maximize precision 2. You'll be…

At least mix in some spinach :)

Me too.. I mean the taste is nice, but too rich, and I wish my wife would stop buying the dang thing... I don't eat any of it, but my kids, especially my son, are hooked on it.

What kind of cardio, and what intensity level? 4 hours a week (6x40 min) should get you around a pound lost at very high intensity (3500 cal in a pound, burning just under 900 cal/hour is pretty intense activity). Of course if you eat all calories back then there is no loss. Sodium can play a big role, I can "put" on over…

The 8x3 advice is great, but at the beginning go much lighter, 12-15, to practice and learn proper form. Very important to do this for a couple weeks both for acclimatization and avoiding injury.

Basically drink it as soon as you can after working out. I used to set it up in the shaker cup (minus water) work out then on the way out fill it up with water, shake and drink.
