I'm a legit 5lbs up, according to the scale on Sunday. But, I think It does have to do with going out of routine due to having the week after Christmas off. Off routine, I tended to drink less water, eat more salt and sugary foods, and didn't use my vitamin supplements that I usually have right next to me at my desk at…

Definitely recommend it over 1. Actually, what I'm going to do is give 1 to a diabetic friend who wants to get on a workout routine. Best thing about 2? You don't have to hold the controller during the actual exercises! Left arm band and right leng band with built-in sensor. I've switched to an real tension band, and love…

I do fiber bars for breakfast, and whole wheat or whole grain if at all possible. I usually get near my 29g of fiber per day without trying too hard. My problem is protein. I do fiber focused meals for breakfast and lunch (cereal, fruit, etc), and usually have problems getting protein up with only one meal. So, it's tough…

I don't know. I'm doing pretty good just being militant about counting calories on myfitnesspal, watching sodium intake, maxing out on water, and exercising 3-4 days week. 25 pounds in 60 days is nothing to sneeze at. i think people are looking for a easy way to lose weight, hence weight watchers. There's no easy way,…

I log it on my iphone literally right before I eat it, breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. Too much stuff goes on during the day, and I don't want to miss something I ate, or put in something I end up not eating. Also, if you see you're way over on fat, carbs or sodium, you can usually plan your next meal to accomodate…

Americans in general never have their daily allowance of fiber, so if you're coming close or exceeding, you're doing better than most. I find it tough to get to the protein and fiber allowances each day without ample portions of meat and whole grains. And, if I eat out, and almost never get there, while exceeding my sodium…

The riding will kick a lot of the calories. Just load up on protein rather than carbs (eggs and meats rather than breads) and you'll be fine. You can guesstimate the calories, and just don't worry about them too much. We all tend to hit the limits of our calories counts in the weekends. Luckily, we have the weekdays to be…

My BP was rather high (150/90ish). I went on a diuretic (triam), and asprin (81mg daily) prescribed by my doctor, and it's dropped to 120/70. Ultimately, exercise and dieting should fix it, but it's something you need to address now with meds, and fix later.

I slack off but track. In the end, the tracking helps maintaining the diet out of OCD and guilt as much as anything. So, even when I go over my calorie goals, it isn't that drastic, only a few hundred calories. Regardless of whether you slack off or not, calorie counting makes you take notice of everything you put in your…

Breakfast Fiber Bar (150cal, 5g Fiber) Dole Mixed Fruit (90 cal). 2 glasses water (lemon juice mixed in one), coffee. Everything but the coffee and Water I can take into work Monday Morning, leave at my desk all week, and eat when I get in first thing.

Sounds like you're in a similar situation as me, with a ton of wieght to lose, and a while to plan for it (started at 343, down to 328). My original plan was 40 pounds by my 40th birthday, but it looks like a could conceivably beat it. I like the 25 pound goals for decent rewards, and a big reward at 300. I like the…

I don't know. For me, I can't exercise in the morning, I like my sleep too much. My best time is right after work. I get the exercise past me, then eat dinner. At my weight, it's not like my body won't find any fat to use, and I'm not a workout demon, if I need a minute break, I'll take it. My wife, however, work out in…

Me too! I'm thinking that most of our bodies are way more resilient than we'd thought for years, and I know personally that a strict diet plus exercise is beginning make a difference, and my body is finally starting to work as intended again. 30 more pounds, and I'll actually be able to feel human again, I think.

I have many reasons for staying away from Coors Light which have nothing to do with dieting, lol. But, Everything in Moderation, I think. I tend towards very full ales and lagers, which are often higher in calories, but at the same time have more taste and usually more alcohol. As an example. Coors Light is 4.2% alcohol…

I start getting that sick stomach feeling at times, which I usually fixed by eating something. These days I grab a big glass of water, along with a 90 cal cereal bar or something High Fiber or Protein. It seems to solve the issue pretty good.

Don't beat yourself up too bad. I'm sure I'll do something similar soon. Just decide what fills you up the most for dinner while leaving the smallest footprint, like a fiber rich or protein rich food. Exercise for sure when you get home, and drink lots of water. That's what I would do.

My wife and I have decided to be a bit more lax on the weekend, but to count everything anyways. Despite this, even at restaurants, we're making better decisions concerning what we order and eat on the weekends. I find myself not having the second beer, the appetizer, ordering Vinagrette instead of Bleu Cheese, or skipping…

Been on this plan for two weeks, and I've had a total of 1/2 can of Diet Coke (last night). It didn't appeal to me that much at all. If you're going to "indulge" on occasion, I'd much rather have a beer or wine, count the calories, and enjoy it more. Frankly, I think that the occasional beer or wine is MUCH healthier than…

Unfortunately, the Wii Fit maxes out at 300lbs, so I'm not really able to take advantage of it for another 30lbs. Until then, I'm sticking with the Wii Active, which really gets your Cardio rate up if you do it right. My only suggestion would be to figure out how to use another resistance band without having problems…

FYI, There has been a link in studies between Birth Control Pills and High Cholesterol/ Triglycerides. That's on eof the reasons my wife went off them. Don't know if that's relavent or not.

I'm a week into my combination myfitnesspal iPhone app and Wii Active. So far so good. The tech is hooking me into a routine, I think. The Wii Active is a nice workout, and the fact that you can do it in the privacy of your own house makes it a lot less embaressing when trying to start a diet/exercise routine. Not sure…
