  • I do have the app, good idea thank you. I will scan it and deduct a little if it counts for bits I don't plan on eating. Thanks
  • I'm only on 1200cal a day though and would rather not eat under my daily allowance by overestimating too much. I also don't actually have any idea what to roughly guess it at, the website says 159cal per wrap but that doesn't include chicken, there are search options up to 300cal per wrap too.
  • To be honest it would never cross my mind to do it any other way. In my head, you meet, you fall in love, you move in together, get married and have kids. In that order. But that is just MY opinion for some reason, but then, I have not been raised remotely religiously and nor have any of my family and friends, so no one…
  • I am not commenting on the hunting topic (I'm English, it isn't legal here and if it was it isn't my thing, but each to their own) But I do what to comment on the castle comment...There are 1500 "listed" castle sites in England...majority of which are remains and ruins. There are NOT that many castles in England at all. We…
  • I'm 5'3 190lbs and a large UK16, I tend to wear 18's for comfort. Can some of you folks across the pond explain US sizes to me? I know they are different to ours. It would be nice to understand what you guys mean when you say you're a 4 etc?
  • I agree. I never said it wasn't true, just pointing out that if you want to give someone advice on their methods then you should do so politely, not by telling them they are cheating. If someone is busting their butt trying to be a healthy and better person, telling them "never hold on to the sides on a treadmill, it's…
  • So what? If she is happy with the results and feels more comfortable holding on, then it's better she does it at a high level and it's halved than do it lower and feel uncomfortable not holding on. She gets the same results either way, so let her get on with how she chooses to do it and you do it your way.
  • Running up and down the stairs a few times? Jumping jacks? Jogging on the spot? Edit: According to MFP 4 minutes of running up and down the stairs is about 86 calories. :)
  • Yeah as another English girl, stones aren't informal at all. Everyone here I would imagine will answer in stones. Most people would have to stop and think about what they are in pounds. I quite like stones. Being a random odd number makes it more interesting :P For example. A lot of peoples goal weights here will be round…
  • Weight gain is a possible side effect. It's hormones after all but I can't see how it would make weight loss any more difficult? Not too sure to be honest. For anyone who says it's an excuse is just one of the people who don't suffer from the side effects. I have been on the pill for many years and never had a single…
  • Has it already aired in the states then? Can anyone suggest a link for us in the UK to watch it online perhaps? I'd be very interested. Thats an amazing weightloss, but I couldn't imagine what it takes to get that far before realising you had to do something about it.
  • If you read the rest of the thread he has answered this, no surgery just Dr monitored healthy eating and exercise. Well done. Thats an amazing journey to be on and you should be very proud of yourself. :)
  • 165g of saturated fat....wow!
  • Got to love people who don't get sarcasm... I found OP hilarious, but i'm English, apparently we speak fluent sarcasm :P
  • Maybe you can try telling them that they are going to put it all back on as soon as they eat again to help suggest a healthier way of losing weight, because they will. Their bodies will be starving and will store anything once they start eating again. The only way to keep it really off without gaining anything back on that…
  • Very inspiring. Out starting weights are the same and I aim to lose about the same too. Congrats and thank you x
  • I'm 25 and have about 60-70lbs to shift so feel free to add me too if you want some more support. I'm proud you are doing this form you and not your family, means you have the right reasons at heart and you'll succeed :) You can do it x
  • In a word YES. Of course it would be healthier to eat more for exactly the reasons you said, they are eating too few calories and they are in starvation mode so their bodies will hold on to anything they are given. They will be doing it because it sounds drastic and they hope they will have drastic and fast results. Thats…
  • I'm South East England, Hertfordshire to those who know it (about 10 miles north of London for those who don't) I've been told I sound quite posh by northern friends but compared to proper "queens English" i'm common as muck. Depending on the situation and how fast i'm talking I can get more common or more well spoken. I'm…
  • I'd love to join please. Perfect Motivation for me and I didn't know the new series was starting! I'll make sure I catch it, i'm a big Biggest Loser fan. Good luck all! Chugglebunny - 197lbs x
  • My tattoo I have on the back of my neck just under my hair line. It is easily covered if I wear my hair down or in a low pont tail. Everyone else's advice is spot on, be SUPER sure you want it. I thought about mine for about 6 years before I actually got it done. I figured it was worth waiting to see if I changed my mind…
  • I've been trying to lose weight for about 6 years. After leading an unhealthy lifestyle with my ex fiance. I tried on and off for years, but he was always unsupportive, demanding pizza instead of cooking and never coming with me when I wanted to go on walks etc. But because we'd been together 8 years it didn't seem like it…
  • Watford, Hertfordshire Here. Feel free to add me, it's always nice to support eachother :) x
  • I completely sympathise. I am prone to coldsores too. I get about 3 a year. I can always tell when i'm going to get them though, when I am unwell or run down they appear a few days later. I tend to leave mine. They are horrible but they go in about 5-7 days if I leave them alone. If I use ointments and stuff it still takes…
  • I'm similar (not with a child but excuses)...I am planning on going to bed earlier too and doing it every morning to get it out the way. It's only 30 minutes. If I can find time to watch TV I can find time to do this...I AM going to stick to it!
  • I keep meaning to start this, but haven't yet so i'll start in the morning...get it in before xmas. I did my measurements last week, so i'll start and keep this thread updated! x
  • *Stands up* My name is Becci and i'm a Diet Coke addict *Sits down* I could definitely do with this group. It's one of the many things on my diet i've struggled to give up. I switched from full fat coke to diet when I was 16 and first joined a diet club to save calories. I drink at least a 500ml bottle a day and at…
  • I'm a UK gal too. Feel free to add me. I'm feeling a little demotivated too at the moment, so need to get my *kitten* in gear.
  • I'm a UK 16 started at 216lbs. I'm 5'3. But I don't seem to drop dress sizes very easily. I think it will depend on your shape too. I am down a stone since joining (now 202lbs) but I'm still a 16 :(
  • Don't feel discouraged, you are obviously doing the right things and the weight will start to move. Do you weigh at the same time of day? You'd be surprised the difference between first thing in the morning and late at night, and even water weight can play a factor, so please don't get discouraged. You sound like you're…
