Thanks all! Mandy_1982 - the most pain I had was immediately after surgery while in recovery. I remember begging for something BUT once the dilaudad kicked in--I didn't have much. I had pain med the first 36 hours in the hospital them went to regular tylenol. I've only taken is twice since I came home. The first couple of…

Hi! I just had the VSG procedure on 4/18. So far so good. I know this is a controversial subject so I was wondering if this were any groups for bariatric people?

I make "green" tuna--1 can of white albacore tuna, add avocado instead of mayo, salt, pepper, lemon or lime juice, garlic powder, maybe a little dill weed and a fork! Yum!

Lipton tea bags--boil some tea bags in water, let it cool, soak the tea bags (or bath cloths) in the cold tea and lay them on the sunburned area. Soak, repeat.

Great job! Your story is very encouraging and inspiring!

Thank you! I have not been tested but I'm pretty sure I have some sort of gluten allergy, sensitivity or intolerance. I stopped eating products with wheat in it in June and my reflux went away and my ADHD improved. It's like a drug addiction. Somedays I think I can just take some reflux meds and still have a sandwich on…

I have been wanting to run, but my doctor has told me not to run until I get at least 30 lbs off because if I start now it will tear my knees up (no previous knee injuries). This makes me think "why not!" Good job!

That's awesome! Do you share your diary?

Thank you! I am eating waaaaaaaay too few calories!

I've been reading on gluten sensitivities. I have some anxiety issues. I've cut out grains, sugars and processed foods. Not only is my reflux gone, but Imy anxiety is much better.

Maybe she was you not so long ago so she feels comfortable being beside you.

I'm having the same problem (with the exception of this past Friday). I am trying to be gluten free because it aggravates my reflux and anxiety. I feel like I'm eating fairly clean. I'm just not hungry or I fill up quickly. Im going to try some peanut butter spoons to see if that will help.

Great job! Truly inspiring!

I don't know if what I'm doing is called clean eating, but cutting out processed stuff, sugar and white flour has all but cured my reflux. I haven't taken meds in two months.

Fantastic! Thank you for sharing! I plan to be in your shoes next year!

You look awesome! Great Job! To help get out of your rut--get yourself an awesome outfit and get some professional pictures made so you can see how much you've changed. Then get a smaller "goal" outfit and have pictures made when you reach your goal.

I can echo this^^. My bp is down to like 107/60 from 160/90 and my emotions/ADHD is more stable. I'm not really following the Paleo per se because I do like to have cheese, fresh beans and peas and fruit, but for the last two months, I've cut out all processed sugars, flours and foods. I guess you'd call mine a whole foods,…

I'm new too! You can add me!

Oh and I'm a full time engineering student. Most days I wonder what I was thinking when I decided to go back to school at 42 :/
-
Thank you! You all said exactly what I was thinking. I have cut out processed sugars so the sugar from fruit is all I'm getting. I try to limit fruit to only 2 per day when I want something sweet. Its better than having a slice of cake! LOL

That's awesome!
-
Haha! I just asked the same thing! Lol I am driving myself mad trying to keep my sugars down.
