  • This is so wonderful. From either end, getting to to a healthy weight is a challenge. Congrats on your success!
  • I started (again) at the end of December at 199. I ate 2000 cals plus exercise cals until I hit 185. In February. Now I am at 1850 plus some exercise cals. I checked in at 174.8 last week, but I won't be dropping my calories again unless I hit a major stall. I have lost several inches overall. I was just staying in my…
  • Down 88 is amazing! That takes a lot of commitment! You are doing great!
  • I'll be 30 in November. Definitely not fitting in the 20's crowd anymore. Down 56, 30 more to go :)
  • I understand the idea behind it, but I'd be starving if the only solid food I ate was chocolate. For me, it's not at all sustainable.
  • I used to see rabbits regularly, but they've trapped them all and are shipping them to a rabbit sanctuary in Texas. Canada is weird sometimes. Now we just have 'don't feed the rabbits' signs. There's a guy who I'm fairly certain has time travelled. He runs in jorts with a fanny pack, no shirt and sweatbands. He used to…
  • Feel free to add me :) Hoping this is my last go as well. The hard part is maintaining once I get there. Lost 86 pounds, got lazy, had a baby, came back with 54 to lose, now have 29.8 left. No fitbit but I do walk, hike, bike and lift.
  • Hurricaine's Eye by Jesse Roper. Mega talented hometown hero. This is my background music when I lift.
  • To be a role model, so my kids don't grow up with the crippling body image issues that I had. To be a stronger version of myself. I've hit goal weight before, but I was more on the side of skinny fat. This time I'm doing it right. I haven't seen my abs since high school.
  • If it's hot, steamed whole milk. If it's iced, black. If it's expensive, all the milk, sugar syrup and whipped cream and all that stuff.
  • If I need a song to push through something difficult, I like awolnation's 'kill your heroes' Other than that I have an embarrassing amount of music from the 90's/early 00's. Ben Folds and Blink 182 have been popping up quite frequently. Anything upbeat and goofy works for me.
  • My motivations are many. I do my best to love my body and take good care of it so my children might do the same. My oldest is 11 now and I can see the positive effect of doing this. My tummy muscles are fully recovered, have been since about 5 months. I'll have to do a major cut before I can see them again, but that won't…
  • Hi! My little guy is 7 months now. I was at 215 when he was born, 231 was my highest recorded weight ever. I started back with MFP when he was 3.5 months old, I was at 199. I started out eating 2000ish calories, when I hit 185 I dropped to 1850 calories plus some of my exercise calories, am now at 174.8 and will lower by…
  • A wrap. Om nom nom.
  • Totally depends on your weight/height and activity level. I don't do insanity but i walk or hike with baby for at least an hour 4-6 days a week and lift 3x a week. I eat 1850ish a day currently plus some exercise calories. At 5'7" I have gone from 199-176 since January and lose 5+ inches overall per month. My little guy is…
  • Milk Eggs Cheese Butter Yogurt (tubes and greek) Probiotics (kid has digestive issues) Ground beef Salmon filets Shrimp Tomatoes Cucumber Avocado Carrots Green beans Green peppers Salad greens Onions Beets Asparagus (if it's a decent price) Bananas Pears Apples Peaches Grapefruit Oranges Lemon Lime Salsa Refried beans…
  • Please make sure you man parts and buttcrack are not on display. Especially during a squat. Beyond that, whatever is comfy Is fine by me. I do like the moisture wicking shirts myself as I don't like the feeling of cold sweat running down my back. Most people tend to mind their own business. We are all works in progress,…
  • Rosemary roasted chicken and veg. Diced or whole chicken breast on one side of the pan, cubed red potato and sliced carrots on the other. Toss in a small amount of olive oil and sprinkle liberally with rosemary and fresh ground pepper. Bake at 425 for 40-50 minutes, turn halfway through. This is a favourite for my family
  • Put baby in a stroller or carrier and walk/run while they nap. I do this several times a week. It's hard when they're tiny, but around 5/6 months they stop eating so frequently and naps are more consistent. My little guy is 7 months now and I've been able to have a good walk or hike nearly every day for more than a month.…
  • My kids. I can't expect them to love their bodies and take good care of them if I don't do so myself. Myself. I like to look and feel my best and I find I get disappointed and depressed if I don't put the effort forward and it turns into quite a bad situation. And I'm sure the 'me time' I get working out doesn't hurt.
  • 5 pounds was 4.5 inches for me last month, I've only just started getting back into lifting. Excited to see where I am at the end of this month.
  • Lift. And Measure. Seriously. My thighs are big, at any size and body composition they are big. But you know what? In the last month I have lost an inch off each thigh, and if I didn't measure I'd never know.
  • Change doesn't happen in your comfort zone. If you've signed up for a month, I'd say to finish the month and if you still dislike it, at least you gave it a fair go. The only person you are competing against is you.
  • Less butter. But still butter. Calories are not troublesome, weird food that is not worthy of my calorie allowance is bad.
  • If I don't have the calories for bread, I simply make a sandwich without. I do it often for my kids' lunches due to food intolerances. So I'll wrap shredded cheese in a slice of ham, put lettuce/greens and whatever veg on the side. Or slice a banana and make little banana sandwiches with peanut butter in between the…
  • I've sacrificed the notion that I was not worth the effort it took to lose weight, and that it would never work anyway. Everything else has been easy.
  • My blood type is supposed to avoid meat, caffeine and alcohol. Alcohol I can do without, probably meat too, but you can pry my coffee from my cold, dead hands. Also, I've dropped 55 pounds while consuming all of the above.
  • This I am a 34F and this is by far the best I have found. I can play rugby and roller derby without a boob popping out or bouncing like basketballs.
  • Whipped cream is made of love and sunshine and puppy kisses and as such, I refuse to log it.
  • Black coffee won't add to your calorie load. I drink 8oz espresso with 4-8oz whole steamed milk, so it is 150ish cals a pop for me, I tend to only have 1 a day. It doesn't do anything for my weight loss, positive or negative, but is does stop me from being a cranky witch.
