One of my favorite snacks is Fage Total 0 Greek Yogurt and a scoop of chocolate protein powder. It makes a great pudding like snack.

Way to plug in here. I would recommend tracking food for a week without really changing the way that you have been eating so you can get a clear idea of what you need to change. If you log honestly, in 3-4 days you will see a pattern and can start working on a plan to correct it and reach your goals.

Agree with everything above. You can't spot reduce fat. When you body burns fat you don't get to choose which fat it takes.

I'm just finishing up week 4. I am part of a private group on facebook but not aware of any on here.
-
Great job! You are off to an amazing start.

Your best bet is going to be to wear a HRM if you have one. Personally I never add my exercise here. I only use MFP to track my intake.

Great advice here. Take your time, wear good shoes and listen to your body. Its ok to stop and catch your breath during the workout. I also found that glucosomine really helped with my joint pain. Like alpine, I was in pretty good shape when I started and it was tough. Even Shaun T injured himself when he did a full round…

Lots of great advice here. I would also say that you should be trying to hit your calorie goal and not stay under it. I have found a good rule is to shoot to be within 100 +/- of you goal.

I hate that so many people think that 1200 calories is some sort of magic number. If you are hungry your body is telling you it needs more fuel. When your car is running out of gas and it starts sputtering and the low fuel light comes on you don't expect it to just keep on going. Fuel your body properly and it will pay off.

Sunday is prep day. I cook and fill the fridge and freezer on Sunday. It will help keep you focused and also help prevent taking the easy way when you come home and dont feel like cooking.
-
If you are lifting and building muscle 1200 is going to be low. Honestly 1200 is the lowest I would ever recommend anyone going. You will also want to focus more on your measurements and body fat % that just the number on the scale.
-
Set small goals for yourself rather than only looking at the end result that you are wanting. This will make it seem much less daunting and help to keep you motivated along the way.
-
I wouldnt eat more as long as your goal is set correctly. You dont want to be eating to few calories.

Great job jsnyder. The balance and core strength will come. Just do your best every day and you will get better every week.

I understand there is a lot of dislike toward Beachbody and their coaches on here and in other forums. I find that extremely unfortunate because there are great coaches who genuinely put helping other above anything else. There are some truly good ones among us.

Whatever works. I find eating 5-6 times a day helps to keep me full and prevent me from over-eating and snacking when I shouldnt.
-
You have to find what works for you. Everyone has an opinion and that is great. Do your research and find foods, supplements and fitness routines that fit your lifestyle an will allow you to live a long, healthy and happy life for you and your family. *Disclaimer for Brian* I am a Beachbody coach and am happy to say I love…

A big part of deciding which is right for you is to determine where you are at in your current fitness as well as how you are with achieving your nutritional goals.

My wife and I just started week 4 of X3. We are part of an amazing support group on Facebook if anyone is interested. If anyone has any questions I am here and happy to help.
-
I am guessing you are asking about eating back the calories you gain from adding your exercise here. If that is your question then yes its ok...as long as your calorie goal is not set too low. Would you mind sharing you current stats and what your goals are?

Congrats on your daughter and to reaching out for help. This is an extremely difficult thing to accomplish on our own. Getting support from those close to you as well as a community of like-minded people is an amazing advantage. Let me know if I can help you in any way.
-
Welcome to both of you. This is an amazing resource for nutrition as well as fitness support.
-
Way to reach out and ask for support. Can I ask what you are finding difficult? Are you cutting to far or are you struggling with the macros? I am happy to help you work out the kinks if you would like.
-
Welcome back. Having support is a key part of this journey. They say it takes a village to raise a child but I also believe it takes a village to get healthy.

Yesterday is history and tomorrow is a mystery. Today is all you can control.

I love my FT7. I have had it for a little over 3 years and outside of having to replace batteries it has been awesome.
-
Male or female? Fat looks good but I tend to go with an even split of carbs and protein. I set my daily goal and then work to be 100+ or - that goal every day.
-
Welcome Crystal. Having a supper system is one of the keys to success. Best of luck to you.
-
^^^THIS^^^ I prefer to eat in a way that I can for the rest of my life rather than to avoid carbs forever. If you can eat that way for the rest of your days though you are a better person than me.

Great job. Continue with your program. You can also try slowing your running pace a touch whic may help you run longer.
