Its her baby.... She can called it whatever she wants. Although, I waited until my kids were old enough to know I was joking before I affectionately gave them the nicknames Spawn 1 and Spawn 2. lol

@koolmum, ROCK those back muscles girl!

No reason that a pregnancy should put your journey on hold. Eating healthy with a baby on board is a good thing.

I'm digging your glasses.

NEVER rely on others to feed you when you are on a special diet. Carry an "emergency stash" in your purse. Considering you thought enough of your son to pack him some snacks, it shouldn't be too hard to think about yourself and your special diet too. Also, Dad was with you. Why couldn't you have run into a store and gotten…

I did the whole p90x program on 1200 calories... I lost like 5lbs the whole time, but I lost a TON of INCHES everywhere.... Make sure you are taking your measurements and tons of photos.

Nothing wrong with SHARING the general rules of thumb... It becomes a whole new ball game when sharing becomes CLAIMING it is the only way that things work for everyone.

You opinion is welcome. However, I will stick with what a nutritionist told me that has helped me lost the last 81lbs. Lower carbs than proteins and cutting out stuff that breaks down into mostly sugar. It has worked wonders for me. I have energy to spare and I feel great. Just goes to show. There is no cookie cutter mold…

Nah, I get what you are saying. It's all good. Just things work differently for others. I don't obsess about fruit... I just don't eat it unless I workout.....Which is none right now since the knee surgery. LOL... There are other carbs they have me avoiding because of how they breakdown into sugars... At first I had to…

You can be under on your calories and still be eating things that would sabotage you. Without seeing your diary I can't really make any suggestions for you as to why *I* think you might not be losing. Feel free to peek at mine if you want to get some ideas.

Don't sweat the protein so much... but make sure those fat grams are from good fats. Like olive oil, avocados....
-
I am going by the advise of a nutritionist... He recommended Bryon Richards book called Mastering Leptin... You might like to check it out. If you cut back on carbs and have a slightly higher protein count your body will pull from your fat stores to make energy.

Which I always talk about this from my experience and not as a general rule of thumb for everyone. Everyone is different and what applies to 1 million people might not apply to the next 100 people. So it is best not to make generalizations about anything concerning weight management.

I always got referred to as big boned when I was heavier, and honestly I believed it.... But now... 81lbs lighter I know that is not the case. I can wrap my thumb and ring-finger around my wrist and they touch/overlap a bit. That is not a sign of being big boned. I also, have done the circumference of the wrist and elbow.…

I totally agree with you that sugar from fruit is better than sugar from something like a donut or what-not. But just because sugar from fruit is more natural doesn't change the fact that it still has a negative effect on my weight loss efforts. Fruit can wait. I got the rest of my life, and extended one at that if I get…

My leptin levels are all jacked up... So yes, for me, I will see a gain the next morning on the scale. Has I am losing weight, it is getting better though... But my rule of thumb is I HAVE TO WORKOUT if I eat fruit.
-
A pound is a pound is a pound.... However, a pound of fat takes up more space than a pound of muscle.
-
There should be an option for "Set you up with a friend because you got it going on..."
-
And supporting your claims with no facts, hmmmm.....

Actually, with all due respect, this is not entirely accurate. I am not a diabetic, but I do have to watch my fruit intake anyway. I weigh daily and if I eat 1 apple on a day I do not workout I will gain weight. It is just a fact of my life... There is such a thing as a leptin issue that watching your sugars, all sugars,…

I have often wondered how WW would actually transfer over to the real world anyway... Real world meaning the packaging for food doesn't have the WW points value on them unless it is WW food.... My OCD says I shouldn't work with something like that and stick to good old calorie counting.
-
Assuming you are eating a health diet... You are giving your muscles the workout of a lifetime with Insanity... and You are just starting into it. The weight gain fluctuations you are seeing are most likely water weight while your muscles are repairing themselves. I would up your water and green tea intake to help get rid…

I do. I can eat an apple on a day I don't workout and I will gain the next day. Sugar is Sugar. You got to count it.

I weigh everyday, because my body will tell me if something I ate the day before didn't work with me on the scale. I have a program that I plug that daily weigh in into and then I report my "trendline" from that app on here as my weight once a week.
