  • 5'5" SW: 249 CW: 221 Calories per day: 1350 per MFP, I generally eat between 1200-1350, sometimes more if I worked out that day :)
  • Agreed with above! I also recently read an article that even if you have a SUPER splurge/screw-up day where you eat 3500 calories +, it's not gonna screw up your weight loss. Taking a couple days off is ok, and I think it's really important to have a healthy attitude and be kind to yourself about it. :)
  • Every time I've restarted my diet (hopefully this is the last time..) I always wait at least a week before I weigh myself. It's terrifying!!
  • I think we all do the same thing. My best friend is naturally really skinny, and it drives me crazy. The thing I realized recently is that when my skinny friends tell me that I'm beautiful, they really believe that! They're my friends and see me in the best light. I'm willing to bet yours are the same :) It's taken me a…
  • Circuit training! Traditional but works for me :) And also, my FAVORITE favorite, swimming. I've been swimming since I was like 2. I recently tried a burlesque dance class and it was awesome - not just a good workout but also empowering and great for the self esteem.
  • You can do it! :) I know what you mean about the shopping thing.. it's so depressing to walk into a store and know without even trying that not one single thing will fit me. Even over one of my boobs. :( I think that I'll really feel successful when I can walk into forever21/h&m/whatever and be able to wear everything they…
  • I feel you on the chips, Erin! Once I start eating them I can. not. stop.
  • You're awesome! Congrats on deciding to make a change. :)
  • This is awesome! :) Checking in from California and sending lots of support to all of you!
  • A tiny coral bikini, a Brazilian wax, and a trip to Ibiza. ;)
  • I know that feeling! In high school I thought I was huge, but when I look back now I realize I was looking prettyyyy good. Sigh.
  • I absolutely adore my best friend and we have the same kind of relationship. It's not HER fault, and I'm happy for her that she has a rockin' bod (although I have a feeling it won't always be that way if she keeps eating so many calzones)... then again, it can be hard to watch her effortlessly try on size smalls at…
  • I personally wouldn't mind it because that kind of motivation pushes me to work harder - I'm super competitive. But I can see how some people might feel the opposite. :( Then again, I really do think that breaking people down to build them up works. I remember that this season she said something like "I know I'm being hard…
  • Oh, and of course my best friend is a size 2 or 4 without trying... sigh :'(
  • YEP! That's my life too. All through high school I was "bigger" until my freshman year of college when I dropped a bunch of weight. Unfortunately I did it in a really unhealthy and unsustainable way, and I gained it all back plus a LOT more. So now here I am at 26... my goal is that summer 2014 I'll wear a bikini before I…
  • Hi there! I feel your pain. It's really hard to work out at home. There are a ton of great workout DVDs out there, and all you need for them is hand weights! I'd look on amazon.com for stuff that's affordable. I have some of the Jillian Michaels and Bob Harper DVDs and really like them... they're tough workouts but you can…
  • For me the key isn't the amount of calories I'm eating, but rather the kinds of food I'm eating. My diet is heavy on protein and vegetables and light on processed sugars, because your body digests them so quickly and it leaves you hungry again! Simple things like substituting whole wheat for white bread will probably help.…
