The weather is finally AMAZING here in Alaska and it is making my outside running much more enjoyable! Practice 5K yesterday outside in preparation for my first 5K race Sunday and finished with a 31:05 (PR) so hopefully Sunday will go well! Hope everyone has a great weekend and hope the sun is shining on your runs,…

I like the idea of adding some intervals. Will give that a go to gradually work on adding those last few miles. Thanks!!!

5 miles on the treadmill this morning at a pretty slow pace. (My longest distance so far.) Was only planning on 3 but I felt like I could keep going so I did. Took me about 1:05 to complete. I've been trying to plan out a training schedule (based off of recommendations I saw on this thread), but I'm finding that my body…

Really? This post is ludicrous. :noway: However, I now know what I will be ordering for dinner. :drinker:

Hello everyone! Been watching this group for a few weeks and finally decided to stop being a creeper and introduce myself! I started C25K on January 15th and finished March 23rd. I ran my first 5K outside (not a race) the 25th of March and I'm sure the folks who witnessed me whooping and high fiving myself are still…

I think when you are first starting out, just reaching your calorie goal for the day is great! You may find, although, if you spread your protein throughout the day you may be less inclined to snack later. Also taking a peek at other peoples diaries is a great way to get ideas to add a little variety to your meals! Good…

+3 for Sodastream. Freaking love mine. I've always been a seltzer junkie, though. Loves me some carbonation. :drinker:

^^ This has been my experience. I started training this winter on my treadmill and started running outside two weeks ago. On my first run outside I was about 1 mph faster than treadmill and now averaging about 1.5 mph faster without really trying to. Interesting how people have different results. If I try to do my outside…

^^^THIS!!! 3 months ago I could barely run for 30 seconds straight....today I ran 3 miles outside and I feel so proud!!! My advice is start small and stick with it and you can do anything!!!! Good luck!!! :flowerforyou:

Finished!! Now just some fine tuning on my time and I'm ready for my mud run in June!!! Just wanted to say (to anyone still here) keep it up, YOU CAN DO THIS!!!! Good luck everyone!!! :flowerforyou: :drinker:

They are delicious. Do a lot though cuz they shrink up pretty tiny.

Balance. I pre log my meals. I always make sure I log myself decent sized meals and whatever I have for leftover calories I can use for extra things that I want. If it is a portion control issue (4 cups yogurt?), once you start cutting back on serving sizes it gets easier after a few days. Good luck!!!

Mine is also a week 8. It's the Clearsky app. I'm kinda skerred for my final week. Lol!!!

I eat 1200-1600 net calories per day on workout days....on non workout days I eat at maintenance. I'm losing slowly which kinda sucks, but being hungry sucks more!!!
-
You rock! I'm going to use this as motivation for my last two weeks. "C'mon Stephanie, she had the FLU and SHE finished." LOL! Great job and hope you are feeling better! :flowerforyou:

That's awesome!!! I downloaded the 10k app and am going to keep going with it once I finish 5k. Good luck on your race!!!:drinker:

So THATS why I gained 10 lbs. after I quit playing Candy Crush! LOL!!!

Glad to know there is still a couple of us left! I finished W6D2 today and have really had to slow down to make it through. I'm fine with that. I am also doing a 5K in June, so I figure there is plenty of time for me to work on my speed before then!!
-
That is an awesome compliment!!! Way to go!!!
-
I'll be doing W6 D2 tomorrow. It's taken me awhile to get through the program and I'm getting kinda sad the group is dwindling down, but at the same time so HAPPY that so many people have finished!!
-
Enjoy those jeans!! You look terrific in them!!!!

^^ This for me as well. Minus the falling in love part. I've more fallen in like and hope to fall in love soon! I upgraded my C25K app to the C210K and plan on continuing to add the distance as well as working on my speed for my 5K.
