  • I don't remember at all. After almost 30 years mine is still a little off color from the rest of my gums. Luckily I don't go around holding my bottom lip out, so no one can see it. The right side of the roof of my mouth is smooth from where they took the tissue.
  • I had a gum graft when I was nine. I remember drinking a lot of carnation instant breakfast, through a straw, bypassing the roof of my mouth where they took the tissue from. Not sure they even make it anymore.
  • I have the blaze. I love it. The calories burned seems spot on. I use the alarm feature to help wake up. I have very small wrists so it took some time to get used to it. I charge it every 3-4 days while I'm in the shower (10-15 minutes)
  • no. Here in Arizona it's getting be time to stay inside. We are already reaching temps around 100 degrees. We don't go outside unless the sun is down or we're sitting in a pool with lots of sunblock on. Come October I'll be outside hiking and walking.
  • Monday night- 1.5 hours of yoga Tues & Thursday night - 1 hour Zumba class Wed & Friday mornings - 1 hour sessions with a personal trainer (strength training) Also walk about 3 miles a day to get my step count to 10,000 ( on break at work 3x day + a dog walk in the evening) If I'm going to hike or do a 5k on the weekend I…
  • My dr took me off of it. He explained to me that depo keeps on any weight you gain and it's harder to lose that weight gain, especially in the belly area. I had my last shot 10 months ago and have yet to restart my cycle. I'm hoping that once my cycle returns the weight will come off easier.
  • I'm hypoglycemic also ( non diabetic) I struggled with this in the beginning too (and still sometimes do). I find eating every 2-4 hours helps immensely. I try to have carbs and protein in every meal. I took quite a bit of playing around to get on a good schedule to keep my sugars even through the day, it changes daily…
  • Cool! Thank you!!

  • I currently have 2 memberships, 1 for taking Zumba Classes and 1 where I get personal training. I also take yoga through the city's parks & rec program. I would say it's definitely worth it. Left up to my own devices I would not work out at home, by leaving the house to do it I can't get distracted by anything else. I have…
  • I have goal pants. I'm thinking that I will be fitting into them at 112-120 lbs. So I am going by the way I look and how my clothes fit rather than the final number. I'm currently 130, Hoping I'll be in those pants by the end of August.
  • Today I took a co-worker to get lunch from Wendy's (her car was in the shop). I only got an unsweetend iced tea and ate the lunch I brought (and pre-logged) instead of buying a fast food lunch.
  • Same here, 7 seems so early for me, but they like me to come to work, so I kinda have to. I've been doing 2 early morning (6 am -7 am, home by 7:15 to get ready for work) with a personal trainer for 4 weeks now. The only thing that gets me out of bed at 5:30 is know that I'm paying a lot of money to have someone work with…
  • Not sure about the congestion, but the rest of the symptoms could be caused by dehydration. Are you drinking enough water before, during and after your workouts?
  • I'm currently doing 2 6 AM workouts (strength training) and 3 evening workouts (1 night of yoga, 2 nights of Zumba). My schedule is different everyday and I'm having a hard time adjusting (this is week 4), but hopefully it will get better. I eat 1/2 a clif bar in the car on the way to my morning workouts and and an orange…
  • I'm only down 5 lbs and already lost a cup size, I think it all came off my my boobs. Not sure what will happen with the last 15-20 lbs. I don't really care what size I end up being as long as I'm healthy. Maybe I'll be one of those lucky girls that can leave the house with out a bra.
  • This is definitely something to discuss with your dr. I am on 3 cholesterol meds and have been working on getting my numbers from 798 to normal change for about 10 years now. Were you fasting when you had the blood work done? What did you eat the day before? The answers to both those questions can have major effects on the…
  • I quit smoking about a year ago. My biggest piece of advice would be to not tackle both things at once. Pick one, then a month or 2 later, start the next thing. Both are major changes in lifestyle. I would recommend stop smoking first. That way you'll be able to exercise when you are ready to start that. Gum, sunflower…
  • Thank you for posting this. I've had it for over a year, I can't stand it anymore, nothing I've done has helped yet. Going to try this as soon as I get home.
  • I joined MFP in Feb 2012. I really just started using in on Jan 1st 2016. I started and stopped so many times. It took me 4 years to really want to make a change. I've lost 5.8 lbs in 9.5 weeks. I feel so good that I'm finally taking care of myself. Start with one thing at a time. I started with my food, preping my food…
  • I'm 5'. My goal is 112-120, currently 131. I know I felt my best at 112, about 6 years ago I was 103, I felt that was too low for me.
  • Plant fusion. It is pea protein. I mix it with unsweetened almond milk or water. I've only tried the chocolate flavor, To me it tastes like unsweetened Yoo-hoo.
  • I take ACV pills if I feel like I'm retaining water/bloated. It seems to help shed the water quickly. I also take cinnamon pills everynight. I had read that it can help control blood sugar levels (I'm hypo-glycemic) and figured it wouldn't hurt to try it. It helps me. Not in loosing weight, but in other areas.
  • I get about 6-9 hours of sleep per night. Sometimes I wake up ok, sometimes I sleep snooze through my alarm for an hour. I take Vit B & Vit D. I am bad about taking my multi-vitamin. But I will make sure I take it everyday to see if it helps. I don't think my insurance covers vitamins. I'm willing to do whatever I need to…
  • I'm not really trying to lose over 1lb per week. It just seems to be what's happening. If I set my goal at .5 lbs a week MFP has me eating 1260 calories a day. Which is just not sustainable. I tried eating at my TDEE, which is 1380, but was having trouble with that. I'm having more success at 1500, I would be fine with .5…
  • I'm at about 1500. My diary is open, feel free to snoop. I'm in losing mode and bouncing between 3-4 lbs lost since Jan 1st.
  • I'm the same way. My waist hits just at the bottom of my ribs, my belly button is below that. I take and track measurements. Hips also. I'm 5'. My torso is ridiculously short. Low rise pants usually come up to my belly button.
  • I pre-make my breakfasts, lunches, dinners & snacks for the week on Sundays. I label everything with the brand and weight/servings so I can log accurately each day. I don't pre-log or pre-plan what I'm going to eat each day, I just make enough food and grab a meal out of the fridge or freezer. I make a list of 15 meals &…
  • Right now, support of friends is helping me. We made a bet starting Jan 1. $10.00 each per month. Log food everyday. The first one to miss a day has to pay up. I'm also premaking all my food for the week on Sunday so there is no question to what I will be eating for meals.
  • Smooth move tea! Drink it at night and you'll be good to GO in the morning.
