My daughter definitelt wants to go the vegetarian route. I know she is too into dairy to stop having milk and cheese, but what about fish, tuna, eggs ...that kind of thing. Should be continue to eat that or stay away from those items? I would love any recipes if you want to send them. My email is slucinda28@yahoo.

Thanks for all the ideas. I have a lot of research to do if she truly wants to do this. Glad for any suggestions at all.

I've always had horrible cramps and a heavy flow. My doctor has repeatedly told me that exercise would reduce the PMS and the cramping. He was right. I know athletes that work out so many hours and watch what they eat so carefully that they can miss months at a time, but this is usually not healthy living. There has to be…

I like the Turbo Jam and the Core Rythms (Latin Style).

I think I've added everyone, if I haven't feel free to add me. I have 130 pounds to lose. Already lost almost 30. most of that before signing up on here.

Looks like I need to get a heart rate monitor. Any suggestions?

Cottage cheese is always good as well as what everyone mentioned. I remember that just after the braces were put on and each time they tighten them you will want to go for the soft foods, but you can go back to the others soon. You might want to shred the carrots for a while and cut the apple into bite size pieces or have…

I was always told to eat plain bread instead of milk. Definitely see your doctor.

WOW...I would have a hard time if I started off that high. I'd be starving later that night and have no calories left to eat.

I have some of the same problem in my lower back. The doctor said to strengthen my abs, lose weight and get a breast reduction. He didn't say how to strengthen my abs without hurting. Some of the things I've found to strengthen both my back and my abs: Bands: 1. Put bands over the chin up bar or attach to the top of the…

My 10 year old and I love taco salad. We get the scoops, fix taco meat and sprinkle some cheese, tomatoes, onions, lettuce, salsa and fat free sour cream over it. If I want to be even more healthy...I avoid the chips. My daughter avoids the onions and sour cream. It's fun for the kids as they get to make their own too!

You could try brushing your teeth as soon as everyone is down for the night. I always hate putting stuff in my mouth after I've brushed my teeth. Another tip is to refuse to enter the kitchen after 9pm. Get everything done in there that needs to be done and don't go in there again. Good Luck!

I'm doing the whole camping thing this weekend as well. I stay fairly active when camping so I don't stick so much to low calorie, but I do try to be careful about how far off I go, so I always bring the following: any kinds of fresh fruit protein bars for hiking homemade trail mix with dried fruit, healthy nuts, Cheerios…

In September I am going to commit to exercise daily no matter what. how hard would it be to get at least 15-20 minutes of a workout or walk in?

I think I've gone through and sent an invite to everyone, but if I missed someone, feel free to add me.

I really like the Core Rhythm viseos. A lot of Latin and Ballroom dancing. It is not easy, but they have a great beat. I like how Janna and Julia are always changing who is in charge too. Another one I like is Turbo Jam, but I have to be careful jumping into that one. I did it for a week wearing the gloves the first time I…

You've almost reached your first goal. Good job.

It may sound kind of strange, but plan out a menu for the week. Take one day to plan the menu for the week. Write up a grocery list and send someone else shopping if you can...that way you don't buy stuff you don't plan to eat. It's easier to stick to a plan if you have it written down. My daughter an I plan who is cooking…

I like the idea of printing the challenges for the week. Chillrose would it be possible for you to set a day you would post the challenges for the week so we could go and get them and print them? I know it takes a lot of work and we all appreciate it. I just found the video challenges and have a few days to catch up on.…

Exercise is actually good at reducing hunger. Something to do with the endorphins. I agree you probably need more protein too. You can get protein powder and add it to your diet daily. This may help.Body Fortress is about $16 for a large container at Walmart (Should last a month). I've found it to be one of the highest…

I've had back pain for the past 10 years. I found swimming, yoga, the elliptical, and the bike are the only things that don't put my back into orbit. Walking is out for me. I walk 5-10 minutes and I can't move easily because of the pain radiating from my lower back. My doctor told me never to use a treadmill until the pain…

Hi. I'm new on this site, but wanted to give it a try. I had the lap band surgery a year ago. It took 3 months to get it filled to where it was working successfully. After that I lost over 60 pounds in the next 6 months. Then, I had a set back and regained all of it. I injured my hip falling on the ice, so I couldn't work…

I rarely drink soda. I used to have cavity after cavity and found the carbonation from the soda was the cause. As soon as I cut it out...no more cavities. I can only imagine what it was doing to my insides.

I would think it all depends on the type of protein you are consuming. If you are consuming a lot of high fat protein such as red meat and cheese you are probably not helping yourself, but if you are consuming skim milk, fish, and poultry...go for it. Just pay attention to the type of protein you are eating.
