  • Oh yes, I have a fitbit and I use the machine to gauge too. They are usually pretty close, my fitbit puts my heart rate a little bit higher than the machine (within 5).

  • Well we get them from the butcher shop and yea they are stuffed with ground beef and cheese. Normally i cook from scratch but my fiancee parents eat pre-made meals from the butcher shop so when we're invited over I'm not sure how to calculate which is pretty often. But thanks everyone!   • I'm shy of 5'3 with a desk job and I weight 194. I try to be active. Like last week I worked out every day but this week I haven't had a chance to. So MFP says I should eat 1200 which is pretty difficult. So I was thinking maybe I could shoot for that but if not a deficit is still pretty good right?

  • Alright thanks! If I had a smartphone I'd probably log more, sometimes its just easier to grab the box and add it up on paper. But I'll keep accuracy in mind since I'm having a harder time losing right now.
  • I've already lost 30 pounds doing it this way. I just realized that I might not be logging exercise correctly. Will that do serving sizes? I make things in bulk.
  • I write it in my notebook. I've always been someone to write things down. I do however have a hard time calculating home cooked meals.. For example just made egg salad and not sure how to calculate the serving size

  • I haven't been lifting lately, I was under the impression it was only beneficial to start lifting once you lost the weight or near your goal weight. I mean I suppose it wouldn't hurt. My arms have always been bulky anyways from sports when I was younger. It's just getting back to doing it.

  • The "Dopamax" is probably the most serious side effect you'll have to worry about, that's terrible it was that bad. I hope I don't get like that :/ If the side effects out weight the benefits then talk to your neurologist, there may be something better!
  • Anti Seizure on the label and a mood stabilizer for bipolar (that's why I'm on it). But I've heard that some doctors are starting to use it off the label for weight loss, I'm not sure how often though. But yes, the metal taste is what pop tastes like for me! Weird.
  • Sister here! I am on Topamax! Some people have lost a ton of weight on this drug but it depends. I've lost about 10 pounds because soda tastes disgusting to me, I can't quite figure out why.
