OMG she really does look like barbie. Plastic, fake and nothing behind the eyes.

Honestly, I'd talk with her before you sign her up for it. She very well could take it the wrong way. My husband bought be a set of ladies weights while I was training for a marathon. I love the weights and I use them and I didn't blow up at him or anything. But I did feel like he was trying to tell me something about the…

thanks for sharing. Awesome story.

mine is going away ever so slowly with eating right exercise and reverse crunches and plank exercises.. EVER...SO....SLOWLY..... 10 months on and I am still 1-2 sizes from my old jeans but nearly 3 kg lighter than pre-pregnancy weight.

Yes it's abuse. He "playfully hits" you because he's testing your reaction. Do you fight back, do you leave? No, you take it so now he knows that it's okay to hit harder and harder until one day you're walking around in dark glasses claiming you ran into a door handle. He's degrading you and your life choices. He's making…

my husband tried some of the moves with his 5kg weights that seemed to be alright for him, but he's not too coordinated so some of the moves like pendulum lunges gave him problems and he didn't so so many. *edit 5kg = 11lbs (more or less)

I stopped running about 2 years ago. But I did a 5K, 2 10Ks and a full marathon. I liked the full marathon the best. 5K seemed so short, what made it feel worse was that the course was mostly my "short run" while I was training for the marathon. I felt like it was just a training session the whole way through. The 10Ks…

Here are a couple my trainer has me do and it's pretty intense: get a chair that's about 2-3 ft high and put your hands on the edge of the seat with your butt sticking up slowly walk out so your spine neck and butt are all in a line (inclined plank basically) then squeeze your butt cheeks together like you're trying to…

I hated hearing that when I was training for a marathon. I started out close to 200lbs and it was hell on my knees, but as I lost weight it got easier. Keep YOUR goals in mind and keep it up. Don't let someone other than your doctor tell you what's good for your body. Although I love this quote from a college friend of my…

I see nothing wrong with it. We have tons of fantastic Italian ice cafes where I live and as the weather starts to warm up I will be going more often. I have a few rules though: #1 I MUST walk to the ice cafe, not drive or take the bus and #2 no alcoholic ice cream until I am in maintenance phase. It also helps that I love…

I tried it in college. Didn't help me lose weight. My boyfriend's (at the time) sister was using it to GAIN weight and it worked for her. She was about 5'10 and weighed 110 lbs. when she started and the last time I saw her she had gone up to 125 and looked good, toned not skinny fat. IMO, it's expensive and didn't work.…

I started with meal replacement shakes. I wasn't eating because I was running around after a newly mobile baby, this was wreaking havoc on my weight loss attempts. I did the one for breakfast, one for lunch, 3 100 calorie snacks and I make dinner and when the hubby gets home we sit down to whatever. I try to fix healthy…

I'm at that barrier too. 85.2 kg. Took me 6 weeks to get this far and I've been stuck here for 2 weeks. I thought it was PMS but if it was then by tomorrow or Thurs. at the latest I should see a break through. If not then I'm kickin' it into over drive just to see 84.9 on the scale. I mean work outs every day and dropping…

What is more common in industry? NASTRAN, PATRAN or ANSYS?

NOOOO!!! Don't take her! I bought my wedding dress a beautiful simple dress, off the shoulder with a lace-up back. My mom hated it and insisted on buying me a new dress. She got this horrible strapless ornate thing with pearls and gyms all over it. It was too short with heels and just not my style. I was not comfortable in…

I LOVE my stretch marks. I had a tough time getting pregnant and to me they represent all the emotion, the crying over negative tests, the endless ultrasounds, blood draws, fertility meds etc. that all resulted in my handsome baby boy. They remind me to be thankful I got pregnant to have my little one. There are couples…

we tend to argue about strange things then somewhere in the middle of the argument we realize we're arguing the same side from different angles. Unless I am feeling really confrontational I just go along with what he says and believe whatever I want.

your gf knew she was meeting your mom and wore a short skirt? Maybe your gf has no long term intentions for your relationship. When I met my in-laws I had just got off the plane after a 24 hour journey but I stopped at the bathroom to freshen up my make up and brush my hair before I met them. They were picking us up from…

I really like Dance Central, works us a sweat every time. I just got the new your shape evolved and that's a pretty tough work out too. I also like the new star wars. Believe it or not, you're jumping and lunging a lot. I strap some 1-2 pound weights to my wrists and you get some strength training from using the light…

I used to wear one of my husbands shirts and a pair of workout pants. I don't advise jeans, but have seen people work out in them. Seems like it'd chafe? I don't like my body so I hide it under as much baggy attire as I can get away with. When I was running and at a comfortable weight and I was a bit more confident and…

I sometimes shop at Aldi here in Germany. I didn't know they had Aldi in the US either. Anyway, the stores vary. Some are very good and others not so. They have decent pre-packaged deli meats and I buy their water. I buy their bolognese sauce occasionally but I only get their pasta if they have whole grand and the one…

I grab my son's zwiebacks too, and his rice cakes. two of the Hipp apple rice cakes are only 7 cals. I'll have the try the Gerber puffs when I visit the states next month.

I'm not a single parent, but my husband works LONG hours so sometimes I feel like it. During the week with his school and your work, he has homework time right? IMO, A 10-year-old needs to start learning to do things on his own too. I assume you help with his homework? Give him an hour at the table or in the office or…

Please be careful breastfeeding and dieting. First ASK YOUR DOCTOR!!! I lost my milk when my baby was four and a half months old. It was due to a thyroid problem but I have extreme guilt over it "was I eating enough?", "was I eating right?", "what if I just....." So if you want to save yourself the same "oh my God, I'm a…

Awh, you sound like such a sweet guy and a wonderful husband! You got a woman to bring your wife out to you when she was crying to comfort her. :flowerforyou: My husband and I used to go to the gym together before we had our son. We started off with cardio together. He'd take off after he warmed up and I stayed on the…

I agree, don't eat what will make you sick. Sadly, some people are completely blind when it comes to ordering food. There was a big push in our office to get some work items out the door. I myself pulled an 18 hour day and many of the others pulled 12-16 hour days to get this stuff done. The project lead thought he was…

okay if this works, here is a picture of me a few weeks after I ran my first (and so far only) marathon, the day I bought my first car all by my self (no help or cosigns or anything): whoot! it worked omg!!! Thanks!

ugh, for me too. I always gain 2 pounds (which goes away the week after and usually a little extra). I try and stay active. I'll Take my little one for a walk, start a project, like updating the baby book or cleaning out the closets. Food cravings, well, I try to keep the worst offenders out of the house and I don't go out…
