A lot more time to do stuff I need to do in my personal life, or alternatively, somebody to take care of all that stuff while I work for the money.

Had a belly like a beach ball and a navel hernia. Then my numbers revealed that I had a fatty liver, and it was killing liver cells leading to probable cirrhosis. I was at waist size 40, and those pants were getting tight. My mom died and my dad was all alone in his late 80's, and my son was still in college. I realized…

Cross the bridge, toss the match on it. If you don't, this is going to keep happening as long as you allow it. Let it go. As time passes, the hurt will fade, but you have to let the time pass. Also, I think you need to expand your social circle. Good luck, sweetie.

Getting started is often the hardest part, so you got that out of the way. Be honest in your diary, and try to hit your targets. A setback is not a reason to quit, but maybe a reason to change something. Exercise and diet are both important. Good luck!

Just to give another data point, the elliptical I use let's you put in your weight and your age, and also keeps track of your heart rate. For 45 minutes just this morning, it said I burned 626 calories, had an average heart rate of 125 (I do the interval workout), max of 132, and spent 12 minutes of that in my optimal…

I've never eaten before a morning workout, cardio or weight training. I think it's up to you. One thing, though, is make sure you are hydrated before, during, and after any workout.

It's happened. Not a lot, maybe twice a year. Usually the women are in their 70's, but I seem to be irresistable to younger women who are married. Oh, and basket cases, they hit on me too. B)

People who talk over you before you're finished. That reeeeally makes me boil.

I did 45 minutes on the elliptical trainer this morning and burned 637 calories, or at least that's what the readout said. It felt like it, that's for sure.

Anyone who starts to talk before I have stopped talking, or continues to talk even though someone else has started at the correct time. Maybe that's not so irrational, but it really reeeeally frosts me.

Anybody who hears, quickly understands, and laughs at something I say. The laugh isn't always even necessary, but it is icing on the cake.

I only log my lowest weight. If I gain a couple of pounds back, I just let the low number stand. Also, I never log the smartfood popcorn I eat at night - it really isn't that much, but still...

I go to the gym to workout at 6, and am at my desk by 8, which is when I eat breakfast looking at morning email. Yogurt and go lean crunch on weight lifting days, oatmeal and blueberries on 2 cardio days, and a home made muffin on cardio day Wednesday. Each with a cup of joe and an oj.

Stop buying food or drink that you can't consume intelligently. If it's not in the house, you can't eat it.
