Thank you all for the advice! I might try to lower my intake again by 150-200 and stay there for a week or two then increase again to suggested maintenance calories to see if that helps my body ease into it a little better.

I know it's an estimation, so are the calories that my fitbit estimates for me. I also know that many recommend that you increase slowly but only because it causes a swing in glycogen restoration and you will retain water. That part I expected and am not worried about. Could be water retention from increased activity. Take pictures and measurements, they are more reliable than that number on the scale. Don't get discouraged over a number.

This is so true, lol. I tried my best, but the last week or two over December into January kicked my butt because we had company staying with us. It was so much fun and actually fairly easy to prepare. Total cost was about $190 but totally worth it for a Christmas meal, lol. Fed 5 adults and a 10 year old with leftovers.

Crab leg & shrimp boil. Looks like I'll be sitting at about 3,000 today after the 3 pig egg bake (bacon, ham, sausage) and French toast casserole this morning. Yesterday was about 2,800 after Chinese buffet. Yummy!!!

Mine seem to be hit or miss even on birth control. Some months I can't seem to eat enough the day or two before I start. Other months I actually have trouble meeting my calorie goals because I don't want to eat anything. Oh how I love being a woman, lol. I'm still trying to find my exact maintenance calories, but I notice that its the middle ground that makes me ravenous. I can eat 1300 calories and be fine or I can eat 2,300 calories and be fine, but when I try to eat at maintenance (1800-1900) I'm find that I'm SOOO hungry...I'm not sure what the deal is.

Bags of chips (mostly Doritos or Ruffles with french onion dip), Mt. dew cases and bags of Oreo's and Chips Ahoy cookies were scattered around mine and my husband's desk. These are only suggested daily goals. Use them as a guideline, not an exact goal. Some days you will be over, some under.

I would suggest looking for alternative snacks other than your protein balls. It seems that they are just way to high in calories to be eating 3-5 in a day. You can get the same amount of protein from other foods with WAY lower calorie intake. This might also help with feeling satisfied through out the day and keep you…

I don't know why you would drink that much water right before going to bed. Its possible that your lack of continuous sleep is causing the wild fluctuations in weight. My body fluctuates anywhere between 1-8 pounds in a day, its normal. You need good sleep for the body to maintain and repair itself.

I actually pre-log out 5 - 7 day at a time so I know what I need on my grocery list, lol. It works out fantastic!

Just pre-log for the week. Enter in what you plan on eating for each day so you can get an idea of what your weekly total will look like. This is what I do so I know what I've got to work with.
