However, is the calorie count really the same as when you use an egg and oil???? I noticed lots of 'black bean brownies' in the food database here on MFP and the caloric count seems high. Do y'all figure that's ok since there is no fat involved? Thanks.

So, y'all, this morning I went to the store and bought some black beans (I normally have them, but we were out) came home, pureed them in the blender and mixed them up with a Pillsbury Chocolate Fudge Brownie mix. I baked them, and... you're right, they are delicious! A little more cakey, but still very, very good. Like…

Wow, black beans?!?!?!?! I am going to try this ASAP and see what my kids think... (I won't tell them, of course!) If it's good, I'm never using oil and eggs in brownies again!

I don't have any good excuses... I had three babies, and didn't really work to lose the baby weight in between, and I just enjoyed eating so much! And I'm truly a couch potato at heart. I just ate (all the wrong things, and too much of them) and didn't exercise at all and the pounds piled on. And for a time, I felt like it…
-
Ohhh, good advice! I will do this myself!
-
Same here! I once ate before and felt queasy.

It took me about 6 weeks of faithful exercise and eating better before I saw any kind of change in my body, outwardly. I am excited that the rolls (love handles) around my middle are almost gone and I look smoother. :) Please hang in there. As many people have said, we didn't gain weight overnight, so we can't expect to…

Amazing! You look great.

I like the first picture best. Snakeskin dress, black jacket, boots. Whichever you pick, you will look great!

Only water... with an occasional Crystal Light (peach iced tea packet) if I'm having some spicy food and feel like I need it. I also occasionally make myself a cup of hot chocolate with 1% milk and Ovaltine.
-
Wow, thanks for posting the pics! (You're so brave - good for you!) And you look amazing.
-
Wow, good for you! That is great.
-
My thoughts EXACTLY!

It is DELISH with dijon mustard! Thanks everyone, for all the terrific suggestions! I need to go get some tuna!
-
Wow, what a great feeling! Good for you!

You are so right! It's funny the way my overweight friends want to offer me advice like "Don't go to the gym so often or you'll burn out,"etc. I don't tell them anything anymore.
-
It's funny reading about your gyms with the huge parking lots... I live in such a small town, we only have about 10 spaces in our parking lot and I am often one of 2-3 people in the gym, if not the only one!

There's nothing cute about MY belly rolls.
-
Same here! It's a really good trick!

I wake up at 5:00, and leave the house at 5:15 so I can be at the gym at 5:30. I love getting my workout over with in the morning, and then I have all day to burn lots of calories! I do however have to get to bed by 10 pm, which is difficult with kids... cause once they are in bed I feel like I want to stay up a while and…

VERY encouraging. Thank you!
-
Ha ha, good point.
-
Ha ha, you make a good point! One more thing to keep track of, indeed! I appreciate your response. You are right, it's good enough to know I'm burning and eating well and the weight loss is happening slowly but surely. Staying consistent is my goal.

Thankfully my husband is being VERY careful not to tempt me needlessly and only got me flowers this year. Which I LOVED.:flowerforyou:
-
Thanks! About the sweating... it's kind of funny. I always say to myself, "I'm not at the gym to look pretty." I don't care what anyone thinks.... mostly.
-
Ok, I will!
-
Really good tips, thanks!
-
You make a good point. I see people at the gym holding onto the arm rails for dear life, and I wonder about that. I hold on lightly to keep my balance, but I also try to alternate between holding on part of the time, and swinging my arms part of the time.
-
Sounds like I need to get a HRM. Where do I get one?
-
Thanks, I will definitely try this!
