bump! I can run 15km+ at my slow-ish pace (7:00min/km) - but as soon as I try to increase the pace, I can barely make it 4km. I feel like I'm permanently stuck at this pace. Thanks to everyone providing suggestions!

Calories eaten - calories burned = net calories. So if I eat 1600 calories today, and I exercise and burn off 400 calories, my net calories is 1200. The big debate around here seems to be whether you should eat 1200 calories total, or 1200 net calories.

Sounds like a serial killer in the making.

http://www.innocenceproject.org/ A whole website of people wrongly accused. I think that the death penalty is ridiculous. You're punishing someone for taking a life by taking a life? Hypocrisy much?! There are way too many people that have been wrongly accused and would've been executed (if Canada had the death penalty),…

I really like Labrada Lean Body Carb Watcher.

When I started my BC awhile ago for hormonal reasons (Diane35), I didn't gain any weight right off the bat. I did eventually gain, but I attribute that to poor food choices and not enough exercise. A friend of mine was on the same pill and told me that when she went off of it, she dropped 10lbs right away. I decided to try…

^^ THIS!!! The running shoes should feel great right off the bat, so if they're hurting you should take them back. They obviously aren't the right fit. But I would try on even more shoes rather than go back to something that's really old, or even a new, cheap, cross-trainer. Investing in the running shoes really does make…

Sounds like a Jos Louis to me... God I miss those!

bump I'm starting this soon. I'd like to know how everyone tracks this too!

I'm planning on starting around April 8th, so I'd love to join you! I'm finishing up 30DS next week, so the 8th is a perfect starting date. My friend is lending me her DVDs, so I didn't get any manuals, nutritional guide, schedule or anything. Can someone explain the difference between lean and classic to me please? Thanks…

All the people suggesting the C25K are right. It's a great way to get started. But to be the person who loves to run? I was in your position a few years ago. I hated running with a passion, but a girlfriend wanted me to start running with her. I put her off for awhile, and she was persistent! Then she found a race that was…

You look stunning!! Great work :)

Got to be carrots. I eat them every single day. I love raw baby carrots, or they can be cooked.

This was a question I had too! I'm going to be finishing up 30DS shortly, and was debating Jillian's Ripped In 30, P90X or Insanity. I'm looking to lose weight first though, and then tone a bit more. So based on everyone's suggestions, I think I'll try Insanity first! Is there some strength component to Insanity? Or is it…

Pay the money for a really good pair of shoes. When I first started, I thought my nice cross-trainers from the regular sports store would be fine. I ended up getting really bad shin splints and could barely walk, let alone run, for a few weeks. My friend told me to go get fitted properly, at a running store where they…

Congratulations!! sjtreely isn't wrong - running is very addictive! 4 years ago if you'd asked me to run, I'd have locked myself in my house. Now I go out and love doing it - and I'm working up to a half marathon! I find that the songs that I listen to quite often inspire me to keep running further. I'd highly recommend…

Great work everyone! I'm 5'4 and would love to be around 140lbs. These pics are very inspirational!

I have days when I think of myself as a runner, but majority of the time I don't. I'm not very fast, sort of plateaued when I reached the 10km mark (though I am working towards a 10miler and 1/2 marathon later this year). I hate running in crappy conditions. And if you offer me the choice of running or sleeping in,…
