I'm out of the 300s now that I've lost over 100 lbs but I like to kick it around here since I was there and have 75 more to lose to get to 180 -- my goal weight. It has been almost 3 years and I'm not rushing it. I intend to keep it off forever.

Tip a dentist? No. I don't tip my primary care doctor, my dentist, my ophthalmologist, my gallbladder surgeon, or my podiatrist. I don't think they expect to be tipped. Do you also tip your children's teacher(s) and administrative staff?

My heart goes out to you. I know the feeling. I suggest you stick with logging everything in MFP. It is better to log the good and the bad than to try to ignore the day of binge eating. .

Was drinking diet cran-raspberry Sodastream but after reading posts here I'm wanting to add a couple of ounces of vodka! I have the extra calories so.......

I'm over 50 and can stand to lose another 75 lbs! I hope to lose it and maintain the loss for a while before I turn 60. I welcome new friends to share ideas so feel free to add me if (and only if) you plan to leave your diary open to your friends -- like I do.

You can do it! Add me if (and only if) you keep your diary open to your friends -- like I do.

Tomorrow I go to my doctor for a checkup and I'm hoping to hear good news about my overall health from her perspective. I stopped weighing last year but I know I should have lost more weight since I've never missed a day logging here on MFP. Also, I'm always looking for new friends who are willing to share their diary like…

Depends on what is in the salad. I prepare killer salads that include some fish or poultry, so I can live off that forever. Edit: I never crave burgers, ribs, etc. YECH!

There are many filling, no-low calorie alternatives. Pick one, drink some water (or tea) stop sweating it, and eat a little less tomorrow. Sleeping is a good thing to do but avoid sleeping pills unless you really need sleep (not to avoid eating). 3-5mg of melatonin is generally safe.

Add me if you have an open food diary. Good luck in any case!

This kind of comment is suitable for those who have maintained their ideal weight for many years and want to improve their diet. For the rest of us -- working to lose or maintain their ideal weight -- it is another burden that I choose not to carry. (I should have just ignored this thread. )

Any cookies, cakes, donuts -- all pastries -- are not allowed in my house. I just had gathering and sent EVERYTHING home with guests. chicken wings, cheese platter, etc.

All programs work and all of them on which you failed would have worked if you had simply stuck with them. Cloburn is right, programs don't work unless you stick with the programs for the rest of your life. That is why some programs put "LIfe" in their names. Not to burst your bubble but although "Take Shape for Life" is…

I'll go ahead and flip this before seeing another thread. I find slim guys hot but there is nothing hotter and better than a big man (muscle and a little cushion) hugging on me. (Lawd, lawd!) I'm guessing (and have some experience with) men are similar. :blushing:

You look fabulous. Has anyone told you that you resemble Essence Atkins?

Hey -- who screwed up in the web development department?

I lost my Mom last month! So sorry to hear about yours. Hang in there during this difficult time.

This. I don't think anyone looks "better" purely based on their size. But that is me. I consider people who think that way "shallow".

This question come up over and over. Everyone is different so there is no "right" answer for anyone. I have a cleaning lady (thank God) and if I do what SHE does, I count it. Otherwise, I don't count the regular upkeep. This works for ME but it may not work for another person.

My doctor told me that humans are designed to "graze". I have one main meal a day -- a huge salad with very little meat -- and a bunch of tiny meals all day. This is working for me.

No need to hate. Just delete. I need to get on everyday to reach and maintain my goal so add me if you plan to do the same AND have your diary open to your friends.

88.39 miles so far. I'm on track to make my 248 mile goal.

I didn't read everything after the OP but if you are about fitness, it is all good. Weight SHOULD be secondary, IMO, because a lot of thin people are unhealthy too. True, the majority of people who are working to be fit need and want to lose weight. However, like me, some people may be fit carrying a little extra weight…

There is a 45 day money back guarantee from Fitbit. I have the One (had the Ultra) and my Flex is on order. If I don't like it, I will definitely return it and stick to my One.

Feel free to bump! You did a great job. :drinker:

I'm one of those people who need to continuously count my calories to maintain my weight loss and you might be the same way. Take heart because MOST people gain the weight they lost quickly BACK once they stop doing what they did to lose it in the first place.

I'd like to join! I'm aiming for 248 miles this month. I do indoor cycling. I used to do 15-20 miles a day before I increased the resistance so now 8 miles is my daily goal.

I'm down for 248 miles.

Slightly surpassed my April goal (which was less than previous months) - 253.27/240.
