For me, I think is not 30 Day Shred, but 60 Day Shred  Im doing it 3 times per week so i think in July I'll be starting Level 2 :noway: That doesn't sound right, does it? Well, the rest of the days I'll be interval training so, I think thats ok, I guess...

Im no expert but i've read that if you want to lose weight it is EXTREMELY important to do cardio AND strenght training.. The reason: muscle burns more fat, so having good muscles will raise your metabolism, that way you'll be burning more calories even at rest... Im doing both things.... Hope this helps:drinker:

That's a challenge!! I guess arms workouts (like with dumbells), abs... Oh, also pilates, the kind you're lying on the floor For cardio, you can try punching in the air, that raises your heart rate.. Good luck with the foot, I hope you have a nice recovery :flowerforyou:

Hi, yes i've read before that exact same thing, that working out too much can work against us... About that, one theory is that eating the exercise calories can avoid the body to go into starvation mode... I found helpful these two threads: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/44693-tami-s-secret-to-skinny…

Hi... I also made a mistake a posted on last week thread ups!:blushing: Today was my second day on level one, and I found it haaard, i still had to do the modified versions and in some exercise used water bottles instead of my 3 lbs dumbbells. On the other hand, i feel i did better in the cardio sections... Well 8 more…

Hi, five years ago I lost 35 pounds.. At that time I used to weigh myself every day (except for Sundays) and that usually worked for me.. The official weigh-in was on Mondays, but knowing everyday gave information about how good or bad i ate the day before... Then, when I reached my goel, eventually I stopped weighing,…

Hi, today I did it for the first time, and I finished it soaking wet!! It es really a great workout cause it has it all: strength training, cardio, abs... At first, I plan on doing it every other day (M, W, F), cause I know I'm out of shape so I don't want to hurt myself. The rest of the days I'll walk/jog. Maybe as I get…

I did today Level 1 - Day 1, according to my HRM I burnt 200 calories. Im 5'3 and 148lbs I logged it also under circuit training, it said 180 calories, so it was pretty close. Happy shredding!!

Yes, today was my first time too!! And oh boy! it was soo intense, my heart rate went right up with the first jumping jacks... We can do this, we're on our way :drinker:

Hi, Ive just finish my first shred (Level 1 Day 1) Wow, that was tough!! Im all sweaty, but it feels great.. I had to rest a few times, just for some seconds, and did all modified versions but still Jillian kicked my butt!! Have a great day shredders!!!

Hey! Can I still join you?? I'm shredding for the first time ever tomorrow morning, I'm a little scared but also excited!! I'm planning on doing it every other day and the days I dont do it I'll walk/jog. Any advices for this shred newbie? :blushing:

Oh yes, it is possible to drink too much water!. In fact drinking TOO MUCH can kill you. I dont know exactly where the limit is, but I read that for a woman 3 liters is enough. Also make sure to drink it little by little, cause the danger relies in drinking it too fast. :drinker:

Hey I've read about that too, and I think you're wrong, Im almost sure the recommended amount is 1g of protein per KILOGRAM of body weight. Eating too much protein wont help building muscle, in fact, the excedent is converted to fat! Check it out in: http://exercise.about.com/cs/nutrition/a/protein_2.htm Hope this helps!

Ok, that was inspiring, since I've been lookign for something that works for me. I'm looking forward to my first shred tomorrow morning!! I plan to shred 3 times per week, and wog (walk/jog) the rest of the day. Thank you very much!!
-
Hi, I completely understand you! I've been struggling for several weeks now and all i've lost is 3 lbs =( Maybe the weight you gained is from muscle you're building doing the shred!! And that would be a great thing! Maybe you should pay more attention to measurements rather than weight, or to the way your clothes fit you…

Well, I just started the program Couch to 5K (in the beginning is just wogging), today was my second day. The issue is taht I have knee problems so with today's workout I started feeling my knee a little weird in the jogging parts, so I think i'll have to make a lighter version (like a Week 0), so my plan is jogging just a…

Hi Kaitie, maybe this helps: Go to Google and type: .79 lb to oz an google converts the quantities for you and answers: ".79 pounds = 12.64 ounces" now you have the oz for both steaks, next you have to divide in 2: so next you could also type 12.64 / 2 and the anwer is (just as snugglybare said): 12.64 / 2 = 6.32 (oz per…
