Nope, you can add only 1 calorie in though for workouts instead of the full amount or not track exercise.

I am a runner! Add me too if you are still looking for friends. I have ran 3 half marathons, have a 2 or 3 more planned this year. I am also going to start training for my first full marathon this year as well. 2013 is going to rock!!!!!!!!!!!!

I suggest new shoes as well. I had horrible shin splits and feet issues until I got the right shoes. I ran my 3rd half marathon last weekend. Once I got there shoe thing fixed..there was no stopping me :drinker:

I used the Hal higdon program for my first. I finished my 3rd this past weekend. I also vote for trying to run more than walk, you may be underestimating yourself

I think you need to add in snacks! My kids eat all day every day. I have a 7 yo and 4 yo. They are actually border-line under weight. I think the 8 yo is eating fast because she is starving, I know me and if I don't eat often, I tend to eat fast and more than if I didn't snack all day.

Do a search for couch to 5k. Finish that then establish a base of 3-4 miles for about 4-5 days a week, then train for a half or full. You can do it! Trust me when I say that running alone will not remove the weight, diet is key as well.

Thanks! That makes me feel better!
-
Wow, just wow! Complete new look for the new you!

Thanks everyone! I have done a ton of searching on plans. My hesitation is only running 20 as the longest run. Seems like that isn't enough unless the goal is to only finish. The full is on my bucket list as well as my MBA (which is going to take a lot of time). My goal is to run the full, keep my base up long term to…

Hey! I am 5'3 on a good day so I totally count, right? I am maintainin now (not counting the few pounds I yo yo up and down). I am 130. To loose I go down to 1400 and eat back every single calorie I burn. I am a runner and am usually training for a half marathon so I eat ALOT!!!! To maintain I bump my base up to 1700. I…

I run and have the same issue. On days when it isn't really bad, I put baby powder in and shake it out. Works like a charm!
-
You look awesome!!!! Congrats. P.s. GO PENS!

I have a friend that has this issue. She had surgery but it was only a temporary fix, she wants to have another baby in the future so she is holding off on a 2nd surgery. At this point, she limits water and pees before a ran but still wears a pad on long run days :( Good luck, I hope someone has another answer for ya!

I have run 2 halfs last year and want to run a few scheduled this year. If I can get this IT band issues under control, I may try for a full in Nov. Feel free to add me!

I am really hoping someone that is smarter than me answers but her is my take.. I did Atkins and lost about 10 lbs, 10 years ago. I didn't have a lot to lose. I now eat 30% of my diet in protein and about 40% in carbs. I really think that limiting carbs and eating higher protein is the key. When I did Atkins, I was eating…

No, it won't unless you let it. Seriously, if you use the "well, I already messed up so I might as well eat everything in sight" excuse and repeat it over and over then yes it will cause weight gain. But no, one or 2 days will not ruin your progress.

Insanity is great. I love it because Shaun T is fun and motivating. I did the program last year to jump start my weight loss. I lost 14 lbs. at first, I couldn't do it everyday so I rotated the the videos until I could do them every day then I started the whole program. I am a runner that did p90x over the winter. On the…

Awe, your story is inspiring. You have the tools to do this! I am a mom of 2 that works full time and juggles as well, I am maintaining my loss now but if you are looking for new friends, send me a request.
-
You look great!!!
-
Congrats! You can do anything you put your mind to! I ran my first 5k last year and my time was 31 mins, since then I have ran multiple races which included 2 sub-2 hr half marathons. Run baby run!

Impressive! You can tell that you have busted your butt! Can you share your calories, macros and workout plans? My husband has similar starting stats. I am trying to help him get MFP to work. I am 5'3 and on maintenance so I would be interested in how you did it.
-
I have been on maintenance since Oct. I still log pretty regularly but not every day. I plan to keep logging because I run a lot and if I don't log, I lose weight. It's odd to me that I used to be 30 lbs heavier because once I figured out my TDEE and cut, I lost it pretty easy.
