It's all about tracking food and the correct calorie burn estimate. I lost when I ran my first 2 last year. Actually I got to the point where I was losing too much and I was always tired. My advice, calculate your TDEE, don't eat too much below it to limit the risk of injury. If you have a HRM, use it to calculate your…

Yay! Congrats! Hope you rock those size six jeans!

If you are trying to lose weight, then obviously diet will play a big part in that. It's all about moderation, I never gave up any foods. I just only had them on certain days.

I bought clothes to fit at that time if I was going to be wearing them alot. Honestly, I wouldn't buy the dress if you don't think you will wear it until summer. I made that mistake a few times and shrunk right through those. I only lost 30 lbs but it was 2 sizes for me. I have been on maintenence for about 6 months now…

Your nursing, working out and only eating 1400-1600 calories? I think you need to up your calories. I am 5'3 and 130. I started at 160. I lost the majority of my weight when exercising and making sure my daily NET calories was right above my BMR and I wasn't breastfeeding.

Wow! You look awesome!

Bump! I actually try to get anything 100 g but I am interested in the replies.

There are so many for me.. The first time I ran 2 miles without stopping, I text my husband and told him :drinker: My first 5k, I was so worried that I couldn't run the whole thing, I refused to let my husband/ kids go. I did run it all. Time was 31 mins :) My last 5k last year. It was a really hilly one and my time was 26…

I don't travel as much as you but when I do. I measure out 2 scoops of protein and put in snack bags. I pack my shaker cups and have my protein and grab fruit at the hotel. I typically eat/drink that while I am getting ready in the morning. I try to get something semi healthy for lunch/dinner. I am a huge fan of…

It does seem a little high. When I did Insanity, I set my base calories in here for my TDEE -10%. I also had a HRM and are back my calories, I am 5'3, 130 lbs. TDEE - roughly 10% is 1550. My TDEE is around 1700 (since I had a boring desk job) and the first month videos burned around 350 calories. I ate at between 1900 and…

I would hold off. March 10th isn't that far off. Wait until after the 10k then you can start combing the 2.

I work from my home office. I am also a mom of 2 therefore joining a gym would take away from my family time since I typically work around 50 hrs a week and the closest gym in 15 mins away. I chose to workout at lunch. I am a runner as well so it's easy for me to lace up and run! I have also done Insanity/P90x and it works…

It's actually pretty accurate for me!

I am going to be stealing this. I am 5'3 and 130. People that haven't seen me in awhile make comments. I tend to carry my weight in my butt/ thighs and I lost a ton up top including my face. I am maintaining and have been for the 5 months. I am hoping over time the comments go away! If people don't let the topic of my loss…

Awesome!!! Yay you! :drinker: Bumping so more folks read. I love to eat, food is not the enemy!!

I lost a lot of boobs. I went from a 34c to a 32B. Lifting had perked them back up though. :drinker:

I am 5'3. I am at goal now and maintaining. I started out at 159 and my initial goal was 140. When I got there I changed it to 135 then 130. My advice, set your goal at 140 then change if you feel like when you get there. I am very happy with 130. To me it was hard to not keep losing but I knew it was time to stop when I…

When I was losing, I set my daily calories just above my BMR and logged exercise to eat back my calories. I didn't log everything but I have an office job and honestly didn't do much real activity besides exercise. I tend to work a lot!

Great news!

When I was trying to lose, I weighed daily. Now in maintenance, I weigh in 1 or 2 days a week but I can't tell you the last time I recorded on MFP.

I have thought about it a few times. I went from a 36C to a 33B when I lost 30 lbs. I am afraid of surgery so I never took the plunge. Honestly, I would try lifting first. I am starting my 3rd month of p90x and in 2 months, mine have perked up from all the push-ups. They may be small but the your perfect even after 2 kids…

I take whey after a workout and on lifting days, I will add casein before bed. I don't think it's a man/ woman thing. I don't take soy because of have heard and read that too much soy is bad for you and whey is easier to digest.

Wow! Great story, thank you for sharing! I ran 2 halfway this year as well. I love new running friends, feel free to add me :)
