40% carbs, 30% fats and protein. I have tried to increase protein more but I feel tired when I do so I am sticking to this. It was how I lost most of the weight and I am back to it while trying to gain muscle/tone. It seems to be the perfect balance for me.

It worked for me! I recommend to read this. I lost 28 lbs this year. I am 5'3 and 130 (maintaining). The whole idea of TDEE and cutting changed my thinking completely. Good luck!

Rest! And ice! Don't hurt yourself... Trust me on this, you don't want to put yourself out because of an injury (not that I know from experience :blushing:

Woohoo!

Awesome! Proud of you and there is no doubt you will be posting better results next time this year, You motivated me a few weeks back to look at the military fit tests and I am going to take one tomorrow to see how I score. Can't do the 2 mile run since my running route is really icy at the moment but I can base that off…

I am about half way through p90x. I like the weight days but not the cardio/yoga days, I find them boring I started off doing the classic version but switches to a running/Insanity hybrid. I finished Insanity in April and ran 2 half marathons so cardio wise, I am in good shape. The reason that's started p90x was for…

I am 5'3 and around 130. I am maintaining now, might lose a few more after the new year but overall I am happy. I am medium frame and I already get the comments that I am too skinny... I am over that and happy where I am right now. I really think it took ppl a little while to get used to me at new weight. I guess my point…

I ran 2 this past year, hoping to run at least 3 this year. Feel free to add me!

Wow! You look amazing!!!!

Wow! Congrats! Amazing lose! You look incredible!

All running shoe models are slightly different depending on the type of shoe you need for your feet. If your going to train for a half, I recommend going to a running store. Your feet will thank you

1. Maintain my weight..(okay, maybe cut a few lbs but now more than 2 or so) 2. Continue weight training 3. Do 5 pull-ups (I can barely do one now and it's pissing me off) 4. Run 3 or 4 half marathons and continue to talk my bro into training for a full in 2014. :drinker:

Awesome progress! Congrats!

Great accomplishments! Cheers to an awesome 2012 and an even better 2013. Firsts.. ran a bunch of 5k (even though I ran/walked regularly before), ran 2 half marathons! Dropped almost 30 lbs! woot Woot! 2012 was the first time that I ever kept that new years resolution to lose all the weight that I gained since my kids/took…

This may come of harsh and I really don't want it to but I need to get across a point. You need to eat more! I am 5'3 and 130. You know that 100 lbs is underweight but our MFP is set to lose weight. If you want to gain muscle u need to wrap the brain around the fact that you will gain weight/muscle. I eat on average of…

I agree. You still have 4 weeks so I would do exactly what Brian suggested.

Step one. Shoes on. Step 2... Grab car keys and leave the house. Seriously, that is the hardest part. I am not trying to be mean. I started at 159. I am 5'2 and am 130 now. You can do it! Don't restrict yourself too much and in a few weeks the weight will start coming off and you will feel amazing!

It comes down to lowering body fat. To achieve that flat stomach. Have you thought about weight lifting? Or p90x type workouts. It could also be some excess skin on the belly. I have some on my belly, not a lot but I notice, it is obstructing my view of my abs enough to annoy the crap out me me! BTW... Congrats on losing…

Wow! You look amazing I started with insanity then stated running (did 2 half marathons) and am now doing p90x. Love your story!

I love those types. I have 2 kids. 6 and 4 yrs and I am in better shape now that before I had kids. Same weight but I could totally kick the pre-baby me's butt. :drinker: I was lucky and didn't get a lot of stretch marks, the only visible ones are on the back of my knees (WTF!) and butt. I am by no means saying I have the…

The idea of c25k is working on walk/run intervals... If u want to do it on the treadmill then simply write down what is needed and move up as you complete to the next level. Rest days are sooooo important in building up mileage as well. When I started, I never rested and my progression was so slow. As soon as I took rest…

5'3 and 130 lbs. I have a booty. I wear 4s or 27 in waist. I bought a pair of skinny jeans that were Levi's and I was floored that the 5's fit :drinker:

I would eat my normal lunch, just a lil early. Or my go to... PBJ
-
Great story!!! You look AMAZING!!!!!!!

Good description! Eat, I swear I was the fattest non-eater out there until MFP! I would eat less than 1200 calories for a few days, get cranky then quit and consume 3000 cals for awhile until I felt like crap... Rinse and repeat for many years :)

Not true. Your BMR is the lowest you should go. Yours is around 1300. You don't want to dip too far under that number unless u like feeling weak. I also recommend eating back your exercise calories. You really don't have a lot to lose so take it slow if you want it to stay off. I lost 30 lbs by setting MFP at my BMR and…

What are your stats? Weight, height, amount u want to lose?
-
Yay! 16 lbs is nothing to sneeze at. You should be proud. Yay you!

I agree with the others. I stop at grocery stores and get fruit/veggies to snack along with nuts, proteins bars, etc. I also use protein shakes so when I travel, I pack my shaker cup and pre-measure out the scoops in snack bags. I will eat fruit/ shake for breakfast. That starts my day well then try to get a healthy…
