Feel free to add me. I log everyday and usually do my foods daily as well. Be glad to help if I can.

You are definitely NOT ALONE! MFP is a great supportive community. We are all fighting our personal demons and having support is so much help. You can do this! Feel free to add me if you would like some support. I log on everyday and am finally getting close to my goal weight. Next step will be working out to tone a little.

My second time on here, first time I did great. Then thought I could stay a goal weight so quit logging, etc. Gained back 30 lbs, so here I am again. The support is very helpful, feel free to ad me.

I'm 68 and have been on MFP for a number of years with a year or so stop in between. I stopped because I had lost and made my goal weight and thought I had it "under control". Fast forward a year, and I had gained that 40 pounds back. I started up again a little over a year ago and have lost about half of it. I realize…

Lisa, Welcome to MFP. Great group of people here. I would like to offer to support you. I log daily, have tried failed and reconquered. I can completely relate yo your wine issue. I too was doing well until the 2020 fiasco hit, then I started drinking a little more (red wine is the beverage of choice). Been working form…

Welcome to the community Ash, add me if you'd like. I'm in the process of trying to lose about 35 or so pounds. Started at 238, currently at 215. It really helps to have friends for support and advice! There are a lot of good people on this site.

I have 8-12 ounces every evening. Still lose weight, but my guess is it's slower than if I didn't drink. I log 12 ounces in the morning so I can adjust the amount to stay under my goal. For me it's motivation to workout. I know I need to burn 300 or so calories to cover the wine. I don't plan to ever stop wine because it…

I was hospitalized for a number of weeks a few years ago. didn't have a drink for about three weeks. Yes drinking wine slows you down. I lost about 15 pounds in that time, with zero exercise. Admittedly hospital food is not high on my list of things to eat, but I did lose weight being relatively sedentary without alcohol.…

I do this all the time. 45 to 50 minutes cardio in morning then I lift at lunch. At my age I'm not lifting super heavy weights just trying to keep my muscle mass and tone. I normally work out everyday so I rotate my lifting exercises so I do each every other day.

Feel free to add me. I usually log in everyday, and have been at this site for a couple years. Great supportive people here. Welcome!

Welcome! I started on this sight just before I turned 60 as well! THe sight is helpful and I've met some very supportive friends along the way. 63 Coming up for me, want to be down from last year! Feel free to add me as a friend if you'ld like.

Feel free to add me. My wife and I are into this and talk each others ears off about fitness. I'm not a perfect logger when I travel, but I use MFP regularly.

Great decision. I am a little beyond "middle age" but decided to not only lose weight but to get in better physical shape with better diet and exercise. You can definitely do this.
-
Fantastic story, congratulations to you! Thanks for sharing, I'm sure many will find it inspirational.

I do both. I use both exercise and food to control my weight. If I know I won't be able to work out, I know I really need to watch what I eat and plan accordingly. Conversely, if I know I'm going out to a dinner or a holiday meal, I workout extra to burn off any anticipated extra calories. I usually try to leave 200 or or…

No one should be hurting you, not even you! We all go through challenges and ups and down in our lives. Important things is you are where you need to be right now. That's priority one. Do the best you can with the limited exercise and less than optimal food choices. This phase of your life is temporary, you had the good…

Feel free to ad me. I did great on here a year ago, then slacked off last summer and fall - result gained 20 pounds back. Now back at it trying to get back to "onederland". Would love to help support a fellow Buckeye!

Good for YOU !!! Great NSV.

I am 61, but started MFP at 59 and 250 pounds (I'm 6'0"). I got the there the same way as you, gaining a little every year, but hitting 250 was one of those "milestones" that got me to look at myself. I got all the way down to 195, then I started slacking off, not logging religiously, putting off workouts etc. Put a lot…

Welcome to MFP! Feel free to ad me. I started at 255 now at 220 ish. Heading to "onederland".
