IMHO...I try to vary my calorie intake. Some days I eat all my exercise calories, some days I do not. I don't like to let my body get too used to things! Friend Request (FR) me if you'd like.

You've done an awesome job! Now here's to "just a little bit more" and being successful at maintainance!
-
FR me if you'd like...this is an awesome place for support, and I have never been this successful!

One day at a time. If today you go over, make your goal tomorrow to stay under. As one poster above said, remove the fried and processed foods, things will go easier. Only go for 1 pound loss per week. Sure it takes forever...but it's WAY more healthy for your body to lose it slow. Good luck, I sent a FR should you be…

We've switched to smoothies for breakfast. I use fresh/frozen berries, a scoop of protein powder, along with chia, milled flax seed, whole oats, ice, water and blend. A great answer to getting protein and fiber. Leaves me full for at least 3 hours, and then I have a raw veggie snack at my desk to tide me over until lunch.

You've got lots of time to plan, why not make up a daily menu for each day...at least for the first week? That way, you'll have your shopping done ahead, and everything in order! Peace of mind is worth everything, especially when you're not feeling well. Good luck~

I'm motivated by your progress and commitment. Would love to have you as a MFP friend if you have the time.

You get the gel by soaking the seed. So the measured seed would be more beneficial because it is more dense without the gel??? I mix my chia seed (black is preferred over white, but usually you still get a few white seeds even when you order black) and let it sit for about 5 minutes to let it get a good gel built up. I do…

There are online inside-the-home walking videos (YouTube=Leslie Sansone) that you can start with, and not venture outside. Once you get back on the positive ground, you can get out there once again. Don't feel so bad, we all have ghosts in our closet. I still won't exercise in front of my husband...and here he is doing all…

I turn 55 tomorrow. Losing weight after 40 is only impossible if you are dead. Seriously. I will never give up!

Welcome! Feel free to send me a friend request!

Could you open your diary so we can take a look-see? Make ONE change this next week, try lots of water...or try mallwalking. Commit to something specific and stick to it. Whether it's no fast food, or no salty snacks...pick ONE thing to make a change. Next week, try adding a second thing. If you are stubborn enough, you…

Very clearly, 4th grade...back in the day, "Pick-a-balloon Hot Fudge Sundae" at SS Kresgees. They suspended a string above the soda fountain, and you got to pop one balloon upon ordering. That would reveal how much $$ you got discounted from the price of one Sundae. I went almost every single day. Alone. No supervision.…

I started out at 233 and 5'4" so I totally know you! 8^) SW = 233 CW = 193.5 GW = 160 Feel free to add me if you'd like, I'll be here for you!

I have 3 main reasons why I'm here. After finding out my older sister was ill, I FINALLY figured out that no one was going to take care of me...but ME! duh. I want to live my second 50 BETTER. I want to squeeze in as many years as I can with my loving husband. It's truely amazing what it takes for us to wake up, right?…

Don't forget to eat AT LEAST your minimum amount of calories. Don't be afraid! Keep up logging, it'll get easier. Try to stay away from the processed foods, and wean yourself off of those chemical drinks. I know they're convenient, but they don't make it any easier for you to not crave the bad choices. Good luck!

Just LOTS more STUFF! Measuring devices of all shapes and sizes, large containers of almonds & protein powder, bags of chia seeds....not to mention the blender, scale, spatulas....and every piece of extra stuff is worth it's weight in gold.

...I just didn't care enough about what I was doing to my body. I now have a wonderful husband who is unbelievably supportive and an unconditional loving man. If that's not motivation enough, I don't know what is. We've changed our entire diet, and plan on making our second 50-years, years worth LIVING.

I had 70 to lose initially, and am ALMOST half way to goal. It can be done, but understand, it is a journey worth travelling! I am a cubicle/computer-tied office worker as well, and I have children your age. Older is even harder to get yourself motivated! I started small - every time after using the restroom, I rode the…

My first guess is "Momma Guilt". She's taking on part of the blame. She did what she thought was right...but she sees what you're doing as a way of telling her what she was doing wasn't right. So...I think it would be a good idea to not put it in her face. Trod gently, when you're healthy, you'll both be happy. So maybe…

I'd rather have "empty" flabby skin than "full". It.will.not.stop.my.progress....nor will it become an excuse!

The Sonoran Desert in Arizona, where's it's supposed to be 110F tomorrow!
-
Yeah, the desert heat is a challenge, 110 tomorrow....really?! Keep honest, weigh, measure and record ALL you eat and drink. Kinda painful when you first start, but it gets easier. If you don't like the video you purchased, try another, and don't forget to check-out someplace that sells used DVDs or the library for…

Maybe rely on lots of smaller meals or snacks spread out through your day? We're supposed to hit 110 on Sunday, so we'll be in the same boat!

For the guy "so 12"...Refreshingly honest!:flowerforyou: Made me laugh.

Dear Doritos, I gave you up in January when I discovered I am allergic to MSG. You're FULL of it, and I'm not going there any more! Find someone else to keep up all night! Your unfaithful follower.

I'm obcessive about... just about everything, so I understand. I was weighing every day too, thinking I wanted to "reward" myself for a past day well done. Instead, I was letting the digital result rule my day. So I'm back to once-a-week weigh-ins. Since my body can't tell what day it is, some weeks I'm up a bit, others…

...and when she dies, isn't the fiance an accomplice to murder? Sheesh.

I've been looking at a couple of the youtube videos, one is a power walking (inside) and one is a beginning weight training one. I purchased the Jane Fonda - Fit, Tone & Flex, HATED IT!
