You get the gel by soaking the seed. So the measured seed would be more beneficial because it is more dense without the gel???
I mix my chia seed (black is preferred over white, but usually you still get a few white seeds even when you order black) and let it sit for about 5 minutes to let it get a good gel built up.
I do not recommend mixing it in your salad dressing in the morning, to be consumed at lunch...it turns out to be like concrete!!!
I've added it to G2 Sports drinks, smoothies and V-8 Vegetable juice...all are good choices. It takes a bit to get used to just swallowing it whole, rather than trying to "chew" it. Oh yeah...and then go floss your teeth, or you'll be embarassed, lol.0 -
I do chia pudding (did one this morning), 2 tbs chia, 1/2 cup soy milk, 1/2 cup butternut squash puree, 1/2 mashed banana and some cinnamon. I let it soak for a few minutes and it was good to go.0
