You can always purchase them & tell them to send them to the soldiers. That way you are supporting the girls and our soldiers get a treat. That said, lol, I bought 3 boxes for home. Thin Mint for me, lemon for my daughter & peanut butter for the hubby.

I've lost 78lbs since Feb. 29th of this year, by using this site, counting my calories, and walking. I just started the walking 9 weeks ago, starting out at 1 mile per day 4x per week, then after a week, I upped it to 2 miles 4x per week. I feel like I'm ready for more, so next week, I will probably go for 3 miles and see…

You are dedicated & work hard! It is easy to see how committed you are to this process & to your own health...I, too, am proud of you...way to go!!!

Recently, I have been experiencing the same thing. The first several months, I was losing consistantly every week, but for the past 2-3 months, I love great amounts 2 weeks out of the month and the other 2 weeks there will be either no change or a slight gain of 1-2 pounds. Oddly though, one of my great weeks is always the…

Thanks again everyone. I'm going to have a talk with her, make a list of foods she will eat, and try to reasearch and plan out some meals.
-
I will look into the gluten intolerance. They didn't say anything about that, just her cholesterol, triglycerides, thyroid...the basics.

Thanks everyone!!! I'm gonna do some more Internet research. She is 17, a 2 sport athlete but she has been gaining weight over the past two years, around 50 pounds. All of her blood work is great, she only drinks one regular soda per day, if she has that, the only snacks in the hoes are fruit and 100 calorie packs. I fix…

I love the Wishbone salad spritzers.

I am no expert, but are you drinking your water, and are those calories good calories? If your sodium intake is high, you really need to be drinking the water to flush out water retention. Just a thought, lol.

You look awesome....I'm so proud of you & you set such a great example for us all!

I agree with the majority. It is best to keep the scale somewhere you aren't going to see it, expect when you want to see it. I typically weigh twice a week. I use Saturday as my official weigh-in day & on Wednesday I will just do a check-in to see how my week is going, this lets me know if I need to make any adjustments…

I also purchased the Health-o-Meter at my local Wal-Mart for $40, and I haven't had any problems with it. I tested it numerous times, and I will always get the same weight each time.

I have the same scale, and sometimes I also get the "E". I have found that if I take a couple of deep relaxing breaths before I step on the scale this happens less often. It doesn't like any bit of movement...so be steady & calm when you step on it. This might sound silly, but this is just what I have found works for me.

Go to an amusement park with my teenage daughter & ride anything she wants me to...because I have missed out on that for her entire life...and she LOVES roller coasters!!!

Today is my one year anniversary that I stopped drinking Pepsi! I was drinking 5-6 cans per day, and I woke up that Saturday one year ago, went to the refrigerator...NO Pepsi! I said well that's a sign...don't have it, don't need it & I haven't for a year. I don't even miss it any more.

Congratulations on beginning this journey! First of all...it has to be a mind set. I started my journey 7 weeks ago, and I just decided one day...enough is enough. I have a 15 year old daughter, and forever I have been telling myself that I have to get healthy for her. I finally realized...I have to do it for ME, so that I…

I try to switch it up every few day. Mostly through the week when I have to work I have a Special K cereal bar with a piece of fruit They come in several flavors, and everyone I've tried is really good. On the weekends I will have either a bagel thin with sugar free preserves, jelly/jam, cereal (either cheerios or honey…

Yes, definitely start tracking your sodium. Once you do, you will be in shock! I was, I had no idea of the sodium in a lot of things that we consider healthy. For example, green beans, definitely use fresh home cooked or by the frozen that you can steam, because canned green beans although low in calories is very high in…

I started watching my sodium intake a couple of weeks ago. I too was shocked at the amount in most all the foods I was eating, but I have started reading labels on everything at the grocery store. I have found several alternatives. Heinz has a No Salt added Ketchup, Wishbone makes a Salad Spritzer Ranch vinegarette that is…

Welcome, as of today, I have been here 4 weeks, and I absolutely love it and all the support from MFP friends. I'm sure you'll love it to...Good Luck and Happy Losing!!!

Wishbone makes a salad spritzer ranch vinegarette, that is good...if you don't like a lot of dressing and really just want the hint of ranch. I discovered it on my last trip to the grocery store, and I have been using it ever since. I even used a little of it on a piece of baked chicken breast...much better alternative to…

I would like to join your group, hope it's not too late. I joined MFP 3 weeks ago today, I have lost 15 pounds. I don't weigh-in for the week until tomorrow morning. Total I would like to lose 165 lb., but right now I'm happy with any lose.

I started making changes last October, mainly I stopped drinking soda and only drink water now. In the first 3 months I lost 30 pounds, and then things stabilized. Three weeks today I said enough is enough...I am ready for a change. I joined this site & started tracking my calories and walking 30-45 min. each evening. The…

Welcome, I'm new as well, just joined last Friday, but I can already tell you...I LOVE IT!!! Having been overweight my whole life, I heard about this site from a co-worker, logged on & it was just like turning on a light switch. I knew it was time to make a major lifestyle change...for myself & for my teenage daughter. I…
