At my weight watcher's meetings, instead of sharing our bad moments for the week we share our "bravo" moments, things we did right we are proud of to help motivate each other................................

Last night I attended a family birthday dinner and when the cake was passed out, instead of saying no and drawing attention to the fact I didn't want to eat it, I just said I would share one with my husband, and did NOT take a single bite of it. Nobody even noticed, and it did look good, but I knew if I took one bite, it would lead to two bites, and you know the rest!

I got up this morning and worked out b/c I knew I'd be too busy to do it the rest of the day. I'm usually and evening exercise person. Mornings are not my thing!

At my son-in-law's birthday party recently I did not eat pizza, lemon cake, chocolate cake or ice cream. Instead, my husband stopped, at my request, at a local restaurant and brought me a delicious salad called a "Rosie Salad," a grilled chicken salad, one of their specialties. I ate part of that, along with water. People laughed when I went over to the counter and sniffed the pizza and ooh-ed and aah-ed at the chocolate cake. I don't care for lemon cake so that was no problem.

I was surprised that this wasn't terribly difficult.

Today is my one year anniversary that I stopped drinking Pepsi! I was drinking 5-6 cans per day, and I woke up that Saturday one year ago, went to the refrigerator...NO Pepsi! I said well that's a sign...don't have it, don't need it & I haven't for a year. I don't even miss it any more.
