I did it last summer and made it to 32 days. I lost around 20lbs but it was hard and I was starving. At the end of it, I was getting dizzy at work. I think it's okay for a couple days but after that? Meh. I've done much better by counting calories and limiting my carbs.

We want children. It has been almost 4 years and nothing has worked so we are moving forward with more aggressive treatment. Every single thing says that the less you weigh, the better your chances. If the treatments don't work and we end up without children, being healthy and comfortable in my own skin is a consolation…

I drive a snowmobile as a vehicle. I have slept in an igloo. I used to play competitive soccer.

I could use some more humour on my newsfeed. Everyone's so serious. Disclaimer - not hot :P

I'm down 73lbs with another 70lbs to go. Add it up.

I have always been apple-shaped. This is where I am today, at my halfway point (about 72lbs down)

Nunavut here. Feel free to add.

I'm low-carb as well. Approximately 30g net a day. I have insulin resistance so it was necessary for me to go low carb as I am not interested in having to take medication daily to maintain my insulin. Add me, too :)

I have "I love him" tattooed inside my left wrist. My husband has "I love her" on his (among his other dozen or more tats)

I'm up for friends, too. I'm 33 and live in northern Canada (pretty much literally the middle of nowhere). I'm doing this to increase our odds of beating infertility. I'm also doing it so when people tell me to keep my chin up, I don't have to wonder which one they're talking about.

I'm similar to hippie ^. My goal is to ultimately lose 100+lbs, but right now I am focusing on the 65-75lbs I need to lose before fertility treatments. I'm three weeks into the program and would love to have more IP buddies.

I'm three weeks in and would love to have others who are still in phase one!

I'm also a Newfie living away from home. My husband and I live in Nunavut and have been here 7 years. I lived in Toronto for three years before that, so it's been about 10 years since I lived in Newfoundland. Looking forward to a couple weeks home this summer. Working on losing some weight before that.

Thank you for that. I did read it all, I just didn't quote it all. I appreciate your time. I promise you that I'm not one of those 'blame everyone and everything except myself' people. I'm pretty realistic with myself about how I got where I am right now. There's just so much information out there, you know? I do measure…

So, let's say with the exception of one year of my adult life, I have always been morbidly obese. I managed to lose it all using WW once only to turn around and promptly regain it all again. I'm back at the starting line of wanting to lose 90-100lbs. If I eat lower carbs (because my body reacts very poorly to carbs of any…

No. I blame the years of overeating, eating garbage, and binge eating for my fatness. I'm just looking for some more information on 'starvation mode' and whether or not it's really a thing that I have to consider as I try to rid myself of the weight.
