Great post! I think a lot of people believe solely in the theory of if Calories in are less than Calories out then you will lose weight. What people don't take into account is how your body handles the amount and type of calories you put into your body. Take in 2,000 calories all in one meal and your body is going to turn…

I cut out drinking 2 years ago and now i'm down over 50 pounds. Drinking for me led me to bad food choices and skipping workouts amongst other things. That is what I needed to get myself on track.

Sounds like it's time to visit your DR again. The C25K program is rock solid and many runners have started there. The first phase should now keep you inside the limits the DR gave you. Good luck! next thing you know you will be training for a 10k, then a half then a full!

Again lots of free opinion with Zero Studies or documentation.

@rabbitjb Thank you for pointing out that your digestion does not shut down when you eat or should i say whilst you eat. Nowhere did I mention that. So the countless studies that show eating breakfast helps with weight loss must be wrong along with the studies of the benefits of breaking up your meals into 6 or more small…

Drinking a smoothie in the morning is a great way to get the nutrition your body needs to start the day. @rabbitjb when you wake up in the morning your body is in fast mode since it has not eaten in around 8 hours. Drinking a smoothie actually stimulates your gut and digestive process unlike skipping breakfast in the…

I drink my breakfast too! I personally steer clear of a lot of fruit in my smoothies due to their high carb/sugar content. My smoothie is a heaping handful of spinach or kale, a whole cucumber, 5 ribs of celery, 1/2 an apple, Isopure Zero Carb Protein, and Ultra Fiber DX. Throw that in a vitamix with as much water to suit…

I have read a lot about supplementing with Fiber to help control blood sugar spikes. I use Ultra Fiber DX daily.

Good for you for trying to clean up you diet and reduce you added sugar intake. Here is a link to a study from the American Heart Association saying that a diet high in added sugars can add to your heart disease risk.…

Vitamix! Don't go playing around buying other blenders just to find out they don't work right. Go and get the best.

Welcome to the show! I do not eat before my morning runs but I do eat right after them. My morning routine consists of a Mr. Hyde Pre Workout drink, a 5:00 A.M. run for 5 miles, come home and stretch while drinking Ultra fiber DX and Isopure protein. Good Luck,

I have a Ninja now and I am saving up for the Vitamix! All the reviews I read on it and friends that have them I can't wait to get mine!

Good Afternoon jimbopolo, I would give the credit to me losing 54 pounds to not drinking alcohol. Cutting out the booze cut out the extra calories and it helped with me making bad decisions on food after having a few drinks. Good luck cutting out the booze, it gets easier with a little bit of time. I also craved sweets…

No Booze for a year and a half! Once I stopped drinking my weight really came off fast, Booze would help me make bad choices in eating after drinking. I have never felt better since I have given up Alcohol.
