I have tried juicing fasts and after the third day I was so hungry I ate everything in sight. I have read the fasting for a few days as well as taking some kind of natural oils can help pass stones. Fasting for that long may do terrible things to your body though including triggering a ravenous hunger that might make it…

Count the attacks on me about me taking my meds before that post. I rest my case. I am not going to sit here and defend myself on the internet about it. A few people have been helpful about the TDEE thing... those are the only posts that I will reply to any further. I don't think it should be a wild guess... Someone out…

Thank you for staying on topic. So i calculated my TDEE to be 2618 according to normal calculations. Minus 20% it would be 2095. The recommendation was to set a goal for minus 20 or 30%. Funny thing... They said my BMR was 1470... 2095 minus 30% is 1467... I currently have my caloric goal set to my supposed BMR which is…

Isn't it nice to be able to laugh at ones self? lol... OK... seriously... Goodnight. May I thank you for telling me the truth about waffles?
-
Can you imagine my embarrassment?
-
Do you know how hard I am laughing right now?
-
Do you know how many waffle conversations I have participated in not knowing that?
-
Did you know that I didn't know that? lol
-
Do you know I have no idea? Should I guess it is not food?

Is this game addictive? Ok I'm going... lol
-
Or maybe waffles?

Is there a proper way to say goodnight on this thread?
-
Will I remember it?

What are the side effect from staying awake after your melatonin kicks in? Will I do anything I'll regret later?
-
Isn't it way past my bedtime?
-
Are the eggs green, or just the ham?
-
May I also have a waffle? Can I have peanut butter on my waffle?

Make sure it's real cranberry juice... not cranberry juice cocktail. Not 100% juice that is actually apple juice with cranberry flavoring. The only real straight up cranberry juice I have found is called Just Cranberry and you want to dilute it. It's super concentrated.

Ha ha! EVERYTHING is disputable. The decisions about my health are mine to make. I've read seen, heard and talked to doctors enough to make my own decision about taking the medication. I am an adult and we as adults make decisions about our health every single day without ANY "indisputable knowledge"... there is no such…

I've been meaning to make an appointment to get my levels checked, but I am not ready to hand over my body to the pharmacy just yet. To those who think that the condition can not be treated any other way and is utterly irriversible, here is just one blip I've read. The sources of info are endless that suggest self care can…

I understand the concerns people have about discontinuing medications. I also understand that hypothyroidism is not the same as diabetes in the way diet and exercise effects thyroid function. However... As some people have experienced... The thyroid is supposed to self regulate which is why it adjusts it's production of…

Oh, ABSOLUTELY! I am going to do whatever i need to do to achieve optimal health. If it takes years that's fine... but if anyone knows of a way to figure out the right numbers for hypothyroid peeps, that would be really helpful. =)

I was on the medication for two years and did not see or feel any results. The dr. said my levels were normal though. I quit taking them because they were not helping. I also believe that taking drugs may reduce the chance of the body correcting itself. Since my symptoms (aside from the weight gain) are not extreme, I…

I've had a slow go of things myself and just read this thread. It tells you how to calculate your numbers so that you can get your calories in the right range. I'm still in shock after it just concluded that I should be eating 500 to 700 calories more than I have set as my goal. I'm going to try it... but I'm freaking out…

Good riddance to: Sore ankles and knees Wrestling my body in and out of small cars and huge clothes My fat squishing out of the sides of those stupid plastic lawn chairs Full coverage swim suits The feeling of being suffocated by my own body
