A lot of people fast for spiritual/religious reasons. It's a practice that goes back thousands of years in various spiritual paths including Christians, Jews, Hindus, etc. They are okay when it's over. Some people also juice fast for weight loss. Check out the movie "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead." You can find it on Hulu and…

No, eat the 300 exercise calories.

You don't need to lose anymore weight. Focus on doing ab and core work. Cut out the junk food and soda. Drink lots of water. Do some cardio. A few Youtube links: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=edUFqkWSve8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2U9bVmVL7FY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fdMptxZv4hQ

Log the time under walking/. The system will estimate the calories.
-
Try increasing your cardio and reduce your sodium intake. Cut out processed foods.
-
There are no magic metabolism boosting exercises. Get your cardio in. A lot of people will tell you to do HIIT, but regular steady state cardio is also effective. Get some weight training in. Weight loss is 80% food and 20% exercise.

Um, come up with a plan, eat your calories, watch your sodium intake, get your regular exercise in and...lose the weight? That's what I've been doing. **shrug** You may lose 10 or you may lose 5 or 7. Any loss is a good loss.

Quirky gals love quirky guys.

It's not a food industry conspiracy. It is what it is. If you want to control the ingredients in your food, you have to choose and eat fresh food and cook it yourself. If you're savvy, you can shop during sales periods and stock up on the good stuff when it's cheaper. Comparison shop and look for stores that do price…

Dude, get out there and meet more people. Do you have any hobbies or things you want to try? Go to meetup.com, type in your zip code and your interest and it will bring up a list of various meet ups happening in your area. It's a great, no commitment way to meet new people with whom you may share a common interest. When…

When I reach my final goal, I'm taking a trip to Vegas, baby!

You are very beautiful. I'm glad you are doing better and that recovery is helping.

Do you like doing exercise DVDs? You could check out an assortment from the public library. Alternate between a cardio and a strength/circuit training tape.
-
It's exercise. So it's going to work. Log it under elliptical.

I respect what you have to say. FYI. By posting this response in the original thread, you wouldn't be arguing with that MFPer. It would have been a discussion. Adults should be able to engage in real discussion. Point and counterpoint. Agree and disagree. Your statement is great. However, without being a part of the whole…

Assuming you're eating right, why not get a program like P90X or Insanity? They are both laid out for you and if you follow the program, you'll get results. Look for used copies on Ebay or Craigslist.

Yes, this would work.

Apple has become a cult. Stick with PC. :)

It could be the sodium and the water.

Why lie to yourself? I log everything. It's not frail humanity. It's denial and lack of accountability. What are you afraid of? Make peace with food. It's not the enemy.

Are you gaining weight every week or is it like you've gained 1 or 2 pounds? Off the top of my head, I'd say switch things up. Change your exercise routine. Reduce the amount of salt you add to food. Play around with low carb to see if it works. Cycle your calories to see if you start losing again.

Waiting to watch Grimm on NBC. Then maybe a movie.

If you want to eat, then eat. Reserve a good number of calories for your evening meal and stay within that. You can eat whatever you want as long as it fits your planned caloric intake.

The key to squatting is to think of it like sitting in a chair. Push your booty back like sitting in a chair. You will naturally bend a bit at the waist. Also hold your arms out in front of you so you can feel your center of gravity. Then stand back up. Your weight should be in your heels to help you engage your leg…

There is an ongoing Jillian Michaels BR group. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/2883-jillian-michaels-body-revolution You can create an April thread within that group.

Be accountable to yourself. Log everything. There is NOTHING called "cheating." It's all just food. Log it in and see where it fits into your daily calories. No food is bad or wrong. It's just food. It doesn't matter if your diary is public or private. Your accountability is to YOURSELF. Own up to what you are eating. I…

Change your language and how you see food. Candy isn't a "slip." It's just food. Add it to your food diary, see where it fits with your overall daily calories and move on. No need to feel bad. Keep your eyes on the bigger picture.

Honestly, the best motivation comes from inside. Why do you want to lose weight? What are your goals? You're a mom, right? How will losing weight positively affect the lives of your children? Let those things be your motivation. Not faceless strangers on the internet. Use the online community as buoys to help you along but…
