Thank you for recognizing the truth. While MFP uses the word "friend" we are strangers to each other. People don't care one bit if someone deletes them as a "friend."
-
Under the Community tab, click on Groups. Then type in what you want in the "Find a group" field. You may have to search a page or two to find the specific one you want. Groups change names or can be closed down.
-
That's how MFP works. It adds back the exercise calories for you to eat. You're an adult. You don't have to eat anything you don't want to eat. Eating the exercise calories is up to you.
-
No one is on your back. You're an adult. Do whatever you want to do.
-
No offense to the OP. However, she is NOT gaining muscle by running and doing light strength training.

I don't believe in the concept of "cheating." Food is food. I do calorie cycling so I plan in high calorie days. On those day, I tend to include some of the "yum yum" foods that I like. However, I'm not cheating or being bad. I'm just following my program.

There's a MFP group: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/637-gastric-bypass-lapband Touch base with them. They share your experience.

Your progress is amazing. Keep up the good work. Thank you for being an example that it takes time to lose weight and get to our goals. However, if we keep pushing, we'll get there. You've been doing this since 2010. Great way to persevere.

I agree. It's not a hassle at all and takes less than 5 minutes.
-
MFP is just another form of a journal.

Have you tried the forums on nappturality.com? http://www.nappturality.com/forum/index.php From what I've seen, the curls from curlformers don't generally last that long under extreme conditions. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7quhHgLxTIk

Are you making logging a bigger deal than it needs to be? It takes me less than 5 minutes a day to log. It shouldn't be causing you worry. Logging is about accountability and tracking. It's not about burdensome work.

No one can prove anything to you. Losing 10 pounds is very possible for almost anyone. The real trick is that YOU have to really believe. The first step is to remove "giving up" from your mind and vocabulary. If you give up, there's nothing we can do for you. Choose to hang in there. Choose to work your program or make…

I don't have any advice. I just wanted to congratulate you on doing your first 5k. I think that is a HUGE victory by itself. The speed will come later.

Go to Ebay and look for a Pedal Exerciser. Go to YouTube and look up chair aerobics. Leslie Sanson has great in home walking videos that you can usually find at your local library.
-
If you can walk, you can exercise. There's a lot you can do. Even with problem knees.
-
Yes, pre-plan your meals and plug them into MFP the night before or at least in the morning. It's better to have that as a framework. You can make adjustments later. Really, you just have to stop for a few seconds to note down what you're eating.
-
If you are eating healthy, there is nothing wrong with steady weight loss. Losing 19 pounds in two months is not really fast. The first 5-10 pounds were probably water. That means you've only lost about 9-14 pounds of fat. You can try to slow it down, but I don't think you need to. If it's not broke, don't fix it.

Took a peek at your food diary. Have you tried cutting out the processed, package food and fast food? Try eating natural, whole foods for a while. Cook up some chicken breast or other lean protein. Add some veggies on the side and maybe a carb like a little rice.
-
Why not? It's food like anything else. It all depends on your program and how you are planning your sugar/carbs.

Yep. I never ask questions. I have very few "friends." Not looking to add any. My post are responding to the questions of others. Real support is from people I know and can depend on.
-
Nope. Maybe the online tracking tools are just a bit easier than tracking on paper. That's why many people use MFP. I don't need the "support" of strangers.
-
Go ahead and delete. Folks not checking for you. Really, your MFP "friendship" means very little to most people. You don't know them and they don't know you.
-
Your "support" is conditional based on someone's food choices? You can support someone and not know what they are eating. I think some people take this business of MFP "friends" a bit too seriously. At the end of the day, folks are still strangers to each other. The opinions of strangers are not vital.

It sounds like you are going to obsess no matter what you do. That means that food isn't the issue. The issue is your mental process that won't allow yourself some flexibility. Listen, life is all about wiggle room. So what if you plan a meal and something changes. That's life. Why are you choosing to fell bad about that.…
-
Exactly. Pre-plan your meals to fit and make adjustments as you go along. Planning keeps you in control. No need to obsess. Even if you are away from home, you have to plan your meals the day before. You can make sandwiches, snacks and small meals in the morning or the night before. You have to take control of your eating…
-
Yes????? Is there another part to this question?
-
They will make you a separate meal if you ask. You can ask for a salad.

Salad with chicken, a sandwich...
