I started walking breaking it into two smaller .shorter walk. I am now at a gym doing 30 mins gym and 1 hour swimming...... start slowly and increase as you lose weight or get fitter ...good luck :)

Hi and thank you :) I have been working out for 30 mins in gym and 60 mins swimming for almost a month now. I keep trying to tell my hubby not to do such stringent meals as he cooks..... But he thinks I should be on tiny meals but I will be ill with the working out I am doing and still feel hungry so snacking between meals…

My current routine.... is 10 mins biking, 10 mins walking on threadmill at 3 km and hour and 10 mins biking...i swim for an hour ....jaccuzzi/ steam room to relax. Plan to add in the rower/cross trainer as my fitness improves and weights to my work out.

Thank you for replying it is very useful. Maybe its best I book a session or two with a personal trainer who can take me through what I need to do.

I joined thee gym so walk to and from the gym and on the tread mill but must get walking again I was doing so well.

I started swimming a month ago, upto five times a week for an hour at a time I am already down 6 lbs with watching what I am eating. I sometimes just do 20 mins when I dont want to go but mostly try to do more :) I am down almost half a stone already in a month, so well happy with that.

Hiya, I am getting fit by walking will work on my core when I have lost some weight. I will add cycling as I lose weight but what other exercises could I do. I am only riding for 20 mins at walk till I lose some weight.

I am 266 lbs currently and in one week on my return to MFP I have lost 2lbs mainly through short walks of 20-30 mins twice a day 7 days a week.... It will come off but you have to be very determined...... good luck.

Hi 'working on it' its not my first time either but like you want it to be my final attempt... I would lovet to lose the weight then maintain a healthy weight. I am healthy eating, smaller portions.... walking for weight loss initially. What are your plans?

Wish I had hadmore confidence as a teen, love myself more, and keep myself fit and hhealthy instead of 30 years + smaoking :( Very bad habit indeed. But for the rest I made my bed and I lie in it......... I wouldnt change to much maybe a career

I know its about healthy eating and I have mostly stuck to that, thanks to my partners cooking :) I am in it for the long haul this time size 12 hear I come ( i wish ) ;-)
