NMT..but love the hat!

pretty much! I started being Vegan as a personal challenge honestly believing I couldnt do it and now i dont know how i ever ate any differently! I really wish everyone was on a diet! lol mainly the people i work with..

I think sometimes people like to have motivation in a more "hard core" way. Which to people who don't respond well to that can come across as "judgement/railroading".

I'm in a similar situation! I live with my boyfriend and his dad...both are not very healthy eaters so meal times are hard. I'm also vegan which they are very much not so that also adds to the issue of being healthy at meal times! Luckily I have a somewhat reliable gym buddy, a coworker who is trying to be healthy as well…

Hey there! I had the same surgery done this past October. I was on crutches for six weeks total, only in a brace for 5. I was no weight bearing for 3 weeks and then 20% for 2 and then 80% for the last week. I did PT three times a week from three days post op on which was a HUGE help. Overall I felt better than I did before…

^Couldn't agree more. Love how people are firing at this girl for her OPINION, did you all forget we all have different ones? GREAT! You're size 22 and curvy and confident. Awesome, but I believe the OP is right in regards to what that word has turned into.

You won't gain much weight on a drug unless you let yourself. You may have to work harder to keep the weight off but by no means will the drug alone make you gain lots of weight. Eat right and continue exercizing and you will be fine!

Hey there! I recently went Vegan (about two weeks ago). For me I did it mostly as a challenge and I was pretty disgusted with the meat industry after watching "vegucated". (Yup, I jumped on that bandwagon). Personally i LOVE it. I feel better after I eat, I don't feel bloated and tired after eating. OVerall it's much more…

I couldn't plank for more than 1 minute at a time and now I hold it for 2 min 30 seconds ! :)
-
There are two girls who recently started going to the gym I usually go to who ALWAYS bring some Starbucks "coffee" (more like cream and sugar with a splash of coffee) with them to workout! uhhh What?!

Hey there! I am the Maid of Honor at my mom's wedding in April. It's super close and I'm VERY close to my goal so I'm just maintaining so I can fit into my dress! I do a pretty balanced diet and just keep up the exercise. Planks, rows and deadlifts really help tone up your arms! They are my weak spot as well!

My favorite so far is ..... "I can't go until next week when I meet with my personal trainer....." LOVED that one, apparently we need personal trainers to actually get our heart rates up now
-
Oh I totally sympathize! I HATE dealing with some people when it comes to this kind of thing. I've lost 40lbs over a six month period and worked my *kitten* off for it. I know someone who lost 15lbs in two weeks (she's about double what she should weigh) and all off a sudden I suck because she loses weight so much more…
-
I do weigh myself daily to keep myself in check, but only log it weekly or now biweekly since I'm so close to my goal.

It's SURGERY. There are always major side effects. Going under anaestesia, getting foreign objects probed through your body and fat sucked out. If you haven't tried just eating less and moving more then the surgery would not be a smart decision. If you're looking for an easy way out that is NOT it.
-
The only people who have "success" with these are very overweight and have sodium and sugar filled diets. They lose about 5lbs of water weight and that's useless. Eat less, move more. End of story
-
Are you only trying to lose weight for spring break? Then no, your plan won't work and I guarantee youll give up before you reach your goal. Why? It just doesn't make sense. Eat clean, VARY your exercise (honestly just doing the treadmill is useless) and cut out sugary drinks.
-
^this. Luckily when I go to the gym it's usually late at night (24hr gym) and it's always just the "regulars". We are all courteous with each other and don't take up machines we know someone else was going to use and share space. I can lift right next to the "meathead" guys without an issue. The only thing that REALLY bugs…

I live in the US but filled this out! Great topic! So jealous you're going to school for equestrian studies...that was my initial degree until I realized the industry here in the US isn't fantastic and it's very difficult to support a career.

I had a similar issue for years, off and on pain that when it came on was absolutely unbearable. My pain eventually turned constant and ended in me needing surgery for FAI. I would get into physical therapy. Not every doctor knows about every part of the body in absolute detail. I would seek an orthopaedic specialist and…

^^ I agree with the above poster. Water weight. Up your cardio if you're feeling super bloated and see if that helps. I do a lot of weight training and I tend to gain a lot of water weight when that's my main workout. If I start to feel way too bloated I up my cardio and rest the weights for a few days. Good luck!
-
I would discuss this with your doctor. Taking something you aren't really sure helps or does anything isn't ever a good thing. If you're not deficient then don't take it. I would get some professional advice!
-
Go you!!!! Love little victories like that. I too have started to just naturally make better decisions like skipping that donut or a chocolate someone offers. Yeah sometimes I want it but then I realize I dont NEED it and it isn't a big deal to skip it :)

If you're sedentary and eating healthy foods for those 1200 cals then I'd say you're doing well. A lot of people will disagree but I am about your height (5'4) and was at your weight before I lost 40lbs and I started out like you, eating 1200 and not exercising much. As you start to workout more you'll need to add some…

for me, unless I'm so sore I literally cannot move then I work through it. Stretch, stretch, stretch and don't stop pushing yourself during your workouts. It's okay to take it easy but don't sit at home because you're sore. SORE = YOU'RE DOING IT RIGHT

-none of my old scrubs fit which means spending more money without having a choice -freezing all the time -can't drink as much beer :(
-
^this is not a good excuse to take a "shortcut" (that won't actually work). I work full time, go to school full time and have a farm PLUS I don't FIND time to exercise I MAKE time. There's no excuse to take a pill. Eat less, move more.
-
THANK GOD! Someone is finally taking credit for their actions and not blaming their weight gain on a pill and taking all the responsibilty away from themselves!
-
If only I had a dollar for everytime I saw this type of post.... I second what most everyone here said...you CANNOT spot reduce. No specific food or weird ritual is going to help you shed your belly fat. Focus on eating less calories than you burn and just EXERCISE. The belly will go away but you won't magically have model…
