She is dude! She wants some lovin' and is willing to take steps to find some! Jokes aside.. he is right. Do this for you first. Make attracting a man the secondary effect. Get healthy so that the man you do find can enjoy you well into old age!

To elaborate on some comments above that I agree with... A woman must be comfortable in her own skin, HOWEVER a self-centered, conceited woman is too much. I find that the women that look artificial and have supermodel bodies are most likely to have that over-bearing attitude. So like the fellows above, I tend to like a…

Ok cold weather people... I'm in Alaska, and I have snow on the ground.... LOL! I happen to use the gym (the one I go to is only $15 a month), but I need to find something to do at home on days I can't get to the gym. That said... it doesn't have to be much, because I am losing weight with what I'm doing now. I just hit…

I'd say it's a little of both when it comes to my humor. ... and I've always wondered how anyone sits down with one of those big belt buckles. Seems it would cause pain to the belly and pubic bone if you sit upright and have good posture.... ...and those tight jeans... How do guys wear those without dangly bits overlapping…

Actually, I will skip a joke this time and return the favor on a fun factoid. Most people view Alaska as a place where it snows constantly and always ask me if I live in an igloo. However most folks don't realize that Salt Lake City, Utah gets more snowfall annually than Fairbanks, Alaska! In fact, my relatives in Ohio got…

Here's another for ya BellyLaugh... A friend of mine while travelling got a long layover in Dallas. He bellied up to a bar near his gate and ordered a drink. When his glass was empty, the pretty, young southern bell of a waitress comes over and asks if he would like another. He says that he would, and she says, "Would you…

I am allowed 1520 calories. If I do my normal cardio workout I get 620-680 more calories. That makes daily total 2140 or so. I try to bridge the gap. I don't eat the whole 2140. I make sure that I (at a minimum) eat the original 1520 calories, and usually shoot for 1700 to 1800 in this scenario. I am losing 2 pounds a…

Well hello to all of you! This yank (snicker) thinks it is great that this site (and the app) has reached you all across the pond. I cannot praise this site enough. I started with exercise only, lost 15 pounds, then not another pound for 2 solid months! When I got my smartphone two months ago, (11 August actually) I was…

You are definitely in the right place! If you are honest in your profile and keep up on entering what you eat, you will succeed. When things get frustrating, post in these forums. The support you'll find here is a huge asset. I'm in a similar situation in that I have a busy schedule. I work full time, go to college at…

I too got tired of the belly. The previous poster is right that you can't target just one part of the body.... however.... The belly is the hardest to lose. A trainer at my local gym gave me a tip. He told me that cardio is the key, but not like most people think. Most folks get on a machine, and do a predetermined time or…

1. You gotta get more exercise than you normally get. That can vary from just going on a walk to full blown cardio sweat-sessions depending on your goals, health, and energy levels. 2. Use this site to log your food intake. If you have an iPhone or Android, get the application so you can add on the go. 3. Read the labels!…

You know what we call Texas up here in Alaska? That tiny little state with half the oil! (grin) Also, they say that everything is bigger in Texas... but if we cut Alaska in half then Texas would be the THIRD largest state!... LOL I joke about Oklahoma because I had basic training at Ft. Sill (Lawton). There isn't ANYTHING…

Something I keep forgetting to tell folks is that once you set your goals and stats establishing a calorie goal... it's one day at a time. Take each day one at a time. TODAY you want to limit your calories to just below what MFP says you can have. TODAY you want to hit that goal while also getting exercise above what you…

Keep posting! We'll whoop ya into shape! LOL Seriously though, Be 150% honest in your entries here and you will lose the weight. While everyone is different, that only means that you will lose at a different rate than the next person. Remember though, don't be discouraged if it goes slowly because that is weight that will…

Hi there! This site sure makes it easy. I sure as heck would never pay for a diet after seeing what this site has done for me and so many others! Hopefully the nutrition info on this site can help manage the medical issues as well. I started at 240. I'm at 198 now, and gunning for 165. Good luck, and you can do it!

Wow... thanks everyone! I still have another 35 pounds before I get down to where the doctor (and the BMI chart) think I need to be. This helps keep the motivation for sure! I have weened myself to the point where I'm down to 1500 calories a day and going to the gym 3 times a week. My gym trip is usually 60 minutes on the…

When I began working out again this year (first time since 1997), I talked to a trainer about my goals. He told me that stomach fat is the hardest to lose for everyone, and especially for men. His suggestion for me (on top of diet) was to do intervals on the elliptical machine or arc trainer. Most people get on a machine…

I wouldn't be much help on the divorce side of your situation, but here is my weight loss encouragement for you: In March, I joined a gym. I had hit 240 pounds and had way too much gut. Needless to say I'd had enough of that! As a former Army man, I was used to being pretty fit, but it got to the point where I didn't have…
